GW Wiki Builds

Are GW Wiki really safe? I have been wondering this recently.

A. The builds can be edited by anyone
B. Can they carry viruises?

Um...do you mean the .txt files available for download? I'm no programming genius, but it seems unlikely that they could negatively impact your pc in any manner. They are just a collection of jumbled characters in a Notepad document.

I think he's talking about PvX Wiki.

PvX is pretty safe. The builds are almost always trustworthy since they have to be rated and approved before being put into the "tested" category. However, it's still a good idea to know a bit about the skills in the build so that you know if something has been tampered with.

You know you can just copy/paste the skill template code onto your GW team chat and double click it.

Ahh well, I couldn't resist a second time looking at the thread:

Did you perchance get this malady from a [skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill]?

You can not get an virus through it becuase a script generates the .txt when you click the download button. Users can only changes what skills are in the build not the code it self.
