Sorry, I realize this may be the wrong place to post. But I just had to congratulate the Guru staff for making the site actually work properly. This site used to be almost useless as far as page loads. I don't know what changes you made, but the site is very responsive now. Great job.

Actually Craig, the site is still pretty slow, it just has very little traffic at this hour. The database format is the reason Guru is so slow, not the server. It is 1:11am right now in Eastern America, so most of them are asleep. Only late nighters like myself are awake, that and the Aussies. The Europeans are sound asleep or heading to work/school, being 5-8am.

The speed boost is probably due to the server update they finished today. Check the front page for the notice.

And I don't remember it being this fast even late at night before.

Yup, don't thank the site staff entirely, either. The contributions from the Select members went towards making a faster, more easily navigated site for everyone to use. If you happen to know any of them, let them know your appreciation

Actually, it is much faster now. I am noticing it now, because the Europeans are awake now, and the speed is still here. Great work everyone, much appreciated.

I'm noticing a definite improvement here, and the auction section is actually loading at a reasonable speed.

I agree excellent job....now i don't have to wait for xx mins for a page to load...or have multiple sessions open so i can read one section while the other section loads :O
