Well, it's a bit... weird. I mean, offline is for when you don't want people to talk to you. But only your friends and your guild (usually) see when you're online. Unless you need to ignore your guild (in which case you should probably look for a different one) I don't see much point in this.

I see what he's talking about. For example, someones spamming "EVERYONE! PM NOXIFY THE MIGHTY!!!!! HE HAS THE ECTOES FOR LIEK FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"
This way, you could ignore all of the @$$holes that are trying to PM you, but still be able to talk to your friends.
