Is my access key stored in a file?

Recently my PC crashed and I had to restore it. I can't find my Guildwars Box which has my Access Key. I also have GW installed on my Laptop. Does guildwars store your access key somewhere in a file on your system similar to what Neverwinter Nights does? If so I can get my key from my laptop and use it on my desktop. Thanks!

Have you already made your account and played? You should be able to just download the client again from the internet. Once everything's downloaded, you'll see the login screen. Just enter your username and password, no access key needed.

Yeah, I've been playing for about two years. Wow, if that works it would be totally easy. Thanks. I'll dl it right now.

Yup, what he said. Your account info is stored server-side. You could get on any internet capable PC in the world, download the free client software, and log in with your email address and password. All of your account details, including UI preferences, your friends list, etc are all stored on Anet's side.
If your PC crashes, or you have to reinstall Windows or something, all you need to do is install (or download) the client and log in.
