Priests of Eris: Putting the Laughter in Slaughter since 2005!
Our small, mostly PvE-oriented guild, Priests of Eris [PoE], is recruiting friendly people who don't take themselves too seriously, and like a little chaos once in a while.
What you get: Scenic getaway at Wizard's Isle guild hall with most of the amenities. Guild hall change under consideration.
Luxurious cape is quartered green and grey with a Celtic knot and therefore does not look like everyone else's, without featuring a beaver or a flying pig.
Exclusive access to the Green Channel of Chaos and the Gold Channel of Insanity. We pride ourselves on being somewhat out of the ordinary.
No consultation and assistance fees. We welcome people new to the game and will help as much as possible, without making fun of you because you only have 1 elite skill. We'll find other things to pick on you for. Of course, if you're Kind of a Big Deal, we won't turn you away.
NEW AND IMPROVED Kurzick Alliance, which we recently joined mainly because the other guilds in it were having way too much fun without us. The 9-guild Alliance is large enough that there should almost always be someone to taunt or bribe into doing things with you. Each guild is required to schedule a monthly event, so there is always something happening, from dungeon runs to friendly skirmishes, to events way beyond the ordinary.
Ventrilo capable; Alliance has Teamspeak. We've recently discovered that this is cool for coordinating what's going on, and even cooler for joking and making fun of anything and everything, no typing required.
Friendly, laid-back guild members:multi-campaign and GW:EN
experienced, but not too serious
usually very willing to help
mostly EST and CST, with a growing GMT faction and some who work nights so are on at odd hours/late night.
No physical exam required, and no tithing. We're not looking to convert you or sell you anything, and don't require you to donate faction or items. Prefer active members but if you've only got a few weeks to play, you're welcome too.
We're looking to branch into some PvP. We have a few members who are interested, and some who aren't. We'd like to put together a regularly competing GvG team, and possibly a HA team, eventually. You're welcome to do this with us, but for the most part we are inexperienced, doing it mostly for fun, and learning. If you're interested, you're more than welcome to learn and play with us. We have several people who really like AB, too.
Dessert. Golden apple pie, as a matter of fact. If you don't get the reference, brush up on your mythology. Or as our guild leader would say, consult your pineal gland.
What we need from you: Friendliness. We like people who talk on guild & alliance chan. We do ask that you keep language and content to PG-13. (We have had some problems with this in the past, and our alliance will not tolerate it, so anyone who cannot watch his or her mouth need not apply). We're not too particularly into cliques, drama or politics, either. Sense of humor a huge bonus. In fact, if you haven't gone one, you probably won't enjoy PoE.
Willingness to play the game. Our philosophy: if you want it, play the game to get it. While we are ALWAYS happy to help with missions, item farming and whatnot, begging and whining for help when people are engaged with other pursuits will be looked upon the same way we'd deal with a three-year-old doing the same thing: ignored. And if it gets bad enough we'll tell you to go play in the street, too.
Join the forums and look at them once in a while. We discuss our activities here, and plan events. Both forums have interactive calendars with hosted events of every description. Members are highly encouraged to join up and post every so often.
If you've actually read this far and you're still interested, PM Morwyn the Strong or Qiara Sun Li for more info or an invitation, or send me a message with your character's name and we'll find you. If you reply to this message please include a character name so we can contact you.
