Tips:Hug the walls!!! Every single area you go to, including outposts. Hug the Walls! This means that you need to travel around the edge of each and every area you come to. This will not only uncover most of the fog within the area, it will also uncover bits of fog that are outside of the explorable area, including water and small islands close to the coast. Most areas that people miss are found by extreme wall hugging. So no matter what area you are in, grab a wall and show it some love. When hugging the walls, Walk Slowly! If you run it, you can easily skip over little corners and juts that you would have hit had you walked, and these are usually the places that people miss. Slow and steady wins the race! You can also accidentally skip over these areas if you are not using the keyboard to move, as mouse walking is extremely inaccurate. If you are not facing the wall that you are exploring, then you are doing it Wrong. Facing the wall (at least a 45' angle) will ensure you hit every nook you can. Otherwise you can pass them up even when going slowly. The Spine structure in the Charr Homelands cannot be fully uncovered. The unfogged map hosted by TCFish is not accurate to true in-game cartography. So please DON'T ASK ABOUT IT!

Only Anet knows for sure, but it's save to assume, that once EotN hard mode is unleashed upon us, the Master of the North title will be maxable and will require 100 points from exploring (that 101st extra point is most likely an oversight from Anet).
RTSFirebat: Of course i got 101 points from exploring. My post was just to make sure everybody understands the context in which my original post was made in. Otherwise some people could get the impression, that i only have 81% uncovered.
In the old thread some people asked for a screenshot of a M-map (1024x768 with clouds!)

Nope, but zoning into them might uncover tiny specs around the portals.

hmm 1 question, you sure u didn't clear the exits in Alcazia Tangle, Drakkar Lake, Varajar Falls with quest on?
cos i find it hard to believe that you were able to get 101/101 by not clearing those areas n you also missed a spot in SE of Riven Earth.
from my comparsion, i have all the areas u have cleared + more (SE Riven Earth n i've cleared exits on Alcazia Tangle with quest) but i'm still at 100/101. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10203499

maybe you are missing some blurry are inside the maps? I found that to be the case when I did some mapping, its very easy to leave blurry bits in the middle areas of maps, which is why its always best to first hug the outside of the areas, then Zig-zag to cover everything.

ok cool, thats good to confirm.. so anyone can get 101/101 eton carto i guess.
unfortunately i dont think i left any area in middle of maps cos ive done enough chest runs, title point farming in most areas.. n i've entered all dungeons on my own. but i haven't given up yet.. so hopefully find the missing 0.1/101 soon ;p

I have 101 without entering all the dungeons. I currently have 161 points, with 2 dungeons complete and 3 primaries left ( 20 +101 + 40[55-15] = 161).

Worked fine for me, but the images too ages to load. Most likely ImageShack is having connection problems on those servers the images are hosted on.
Just try and download them again later.

wiki updated the Master of the North title;
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Master_of_the_North
336 is the maximum you can attain at this time:
55 points for completing primary missions.
180 points for completing quest dungeons.
100 points for normal cartography.
1 point for bug quest cartography.
anyone else able to get 336/336 without doing the quest carto?
to Duaric, can u post ur detailed u-maps?

Is there even a quest called quest cartography?
Miss Puddles
anyone know which quest you use for that 1 point mentioned? i can't seem to find any information on it or how the "bug" works. i'm currently at 333.
puffzilla
I don't think there is one. It's not mentioned on wiki.guildwas.com But I'd love someone to prove me wrong

Easyest way is to get the Cart mod for tryia gwen from wiki ... shows you what you missed and thats it
Xunlai Master
hehe there are at least three different eton carto ;p quests.
you can clear the unexplorable areas through the exits with quest on but problem is most(or all of em? cant remember hehe) quests arent repeatable.
The Great Norn Alemoot is one of em, screenshot attached.
there is another solo quest (umm cant remember which one it was, probably Bear Club for Men/Women)
n you can clear all exist in Alcazia Tangle with non-solo asura quest (again cant remember the name but i think u get the quest from Tarnished Haven or just outside of it)

I know the information is a little old because more points are possible with HM now but what is this --> "the Cart mod for tryia gwen from wiki" and where do you find it?
I'm at 325, only missing the completion of Slaver's Exile NM and that 1 extra point in cartography. I've compared maps and can't find any missing. Already have cart titles in the 3 other continents so I'm familiar with the methods but the above sounds interesting if it exists. I didn't want to start the HM points until I fnished all NM.

you missed a chunk in drakkar lake - where the stone summit bosses are - and a few smaller chunks elsewhere - otherwise its a good map to get people started on 100% - probably 98% here I would think - give or take.

Anyone Still Checking maps?

Hmm, let's take a look at the (3 years old) thread title: "GW:EN Map - Guide to 101 Mastery Point Cartographer! (No map check requests!) "
I'd guess "no."

So where would one get their map check... please direct me to a source. I'd do it myself but Texmod does not work on my computers.
