Just a thought, but why not design a profession specific npc quest that crosses all 3 continents to complete (Tyria/Elona/Cantha)? Not to say multiple locations across a single continent, but single locations. With the release of EOTN, it has been established that peoples of the individual areas are aware of the others, i.e, Tyrians know of Canthans, it would only make sense to have a super quest that takes you across all 3 to complete. And before it's even said, yes it's only inclusive of people that have purchased all 3 campaigns and the expansion, but you know what, we deserve a special something for supporting GW by making those purchases.

Now, we are these ultra legendary heroes, that have saved the 'world' from utter calamity so many times, it bears to reason that we would have some sort of status amongst the people of our profession. Let's say I am walking around Dragon's Gullet one day as my necro, I run into an elderly, battle worn necro NPC on the verge of death. He was charged with finding me by order of the Council of Grenth (the necromancer high council) to impart me with a mission. Find a renegade of the council that betrayed them and stole one of the professions sacred objects, like a uber offhand, or spellcaster sword or something of the like. You have to go to various towns of the three chapters, talk to npc's, dig up clues as to the whereabouts of the rogue, and ultimately meet up with him and destroy him in single combat. Upon the death of the renegade, he drops the sacred uber-object, and it becomes customized to you. The scenario would play out about the same for all professions, but of course have diferrent starting points, contact npc's, locale's.

I could write a much better story line for the scenario, for each profession, but just kicking the idea around for now. The beuty being: a. we as a character finally get the credit we deserve for being so awesome and repeatedly saving the world. b. we get some cool uber gear. c. we as a community are rewarded for our dedication to the brand.

Thoughts??

Profession specific quests are only for Tutorial areas. (Yeah, I do count that Tutorial in Prophecies is up to Lion's Arch)
That's because after getting ascended, you can become any profession.

I believe he means primary profession-specific.

I like that idea.

*Factions and Nightfall SPOILERS*

Maybe the ritualist quest would be obtained from Togo's ghost and have to do with finally binding Shiro Tagachi somewhere he cannot escape from. Because he has a tendency to come back again and again Or something like that.

Great idea. I'd love to have something that really lets me use my skills for something specific.

Great Idea, like Necromancers could continue hunting Verata.

He's in Kessex Peak. I killed him solo on my Necromancer a month or two ago.

Yeah, I know, but there are NO primary-specific quests.
All profession-specific quests can be made if your secondary is that one.
After ascending in the Crystal desert, just change profession and go back to Ascalon and Northern Shiverpeaks, you'll be able to take and make all other quests for all other professions.

I will always agree with having more quests, but profession specific? Why?
Currently the game is made in a way that treats those with one character and punishes those that play with more. This would fix nothing.
