What does 12 chars mean?

i see it sometimes when people bump or bid.

ex: "b/o 12 chars"

It's part of our anti-spam measure. The other part being deleting posts and banning people who intentionally bypass the 12 char min with nothing useful to say

for a more clear answer, there is a 12 character -minimum- post length. The typing of nonsense has been beaten out by "12 chars" or "12 characters" as the convention for filler in order to meet that requirement.

[There is also a Max character limit.... but only folks like me prone to writing huge posts on occasion tend to hit that.]

Yeah, the only time I've ever had problems reaching that is when I post on fiction run-ons on certain boards. Never had much trouble with it here though.
