Bug Fixes
-Fixed a bug in the Automated Tournament system that prevented the final opponent match percentages from being displayed for Single Elimination rounds.
-Fixed a bug that caused Light of Deldrimor chests to be destroyed by boulders.
-Fixed a bug that caused certain access keys to incorrectly tell users they would receive two character slots.
Miscellaneous
-Updated the Automated Tournament map rotation for the October tournament season.

I'm guessing it must have been some sort of physics problem - no two objects being allowed to occupy the same space simultaneously. So when the boulder eclipsed the chest, the chest ceased to exist. When the boulder moved from the location, there was no code to regenerate the chest. But that's just a hypothesis.

Maybe so, but Xunlai Agents would still freak out and send us on quests to destroy all of the world's boulders.

the Xunlai Chest is sealed by a magical aura ... so it cant be destroyed by the boulder :P

The bug with Charrslaying weapons crafted from the Ebon Vanguard is that they don't do max damage to anything besides Charr.

How disappointing. I guess we're not getting that balance update after all. And I was hoping to dance on the corpses of some rits and/or thumpers this week-end.

anyway, poor old chests. Maybe the boulders are the great enemy in GW2? and we will have to venture into the underworld and fight shiro, the lich, abaddon, the great destroyer and the army of marauding boulders.

That makes sense now - the non max gold item dropping from chests in GWEN.
If you where going to stash your super max gold item - would you put it in a chest that could be squashed - no
Hopefully with this fix wandering NPCs , creatures etc will feel confident to put some max gold items in chests now they will not get crushed - I think this is the fix for bad chests drops I've been waiting for
