Hi all.

I am going to take either my Rit or Mesmer through EOTN but not sure which one . I don't want to lvl them up only to find they arn't as useful as other profs in EOTN as I've heard it's a difficult expansion.

Has anyone used either of these profs in EOTN? was it difficult? WHich prof do you think will be most useful? I'm thinking Rit as there are big mobs which is obviously not the Mesmers strong point.

thanks for any help

What kind of mesmer do you usually play? The bigger they are, the faster they should fall. Not to even mention bosses.

Whichever you choose, don't expect many PUGs to take you though.

Hi Antheus

I usually play interupt or degen mesmer

I'm fed up with the 'Holy Trinity' so I want to be something a bit different. I will H&H it and use guild mates if I can't get into PUGS. Just can't decide which oddball to take

thanks

I took My Mesmer through right off the bat. I use a Domination/Interrupt build, and completed most of it with H/H. Generally, the mobs aren't any bigger than mobs you find anywhere else, and with proper application of skills, even the larger, stronger, groups don't stand up well against a well-balanced group.

Ive taken both Rit and Mesmer through GW:EN and both are very effective.

One thing about the mesmer is the Signet of Illusions, pair it with any of the PvE only spells for great effect.

My ritualist set with damage spirits and painful bond was very fun

The spirits usually focused on 1 target and brought it down very fast.

I've played my mesmer (main character) through EotN as MoR Dom mesmer with CoP (high, not maxed sunspear level).
If you want to H&H, make sure you work on other targets than your H&H.
I have not played my Rt there yet, but used a Rt Hero several times and the Rt also has enough value, either as offensive or defensive.

If you PuG a lot, be aware that both classes are not really perceived valuable by most pugs.

In some of the advanced Dungeons, a Communing Rit should help in PUGS with preventing a lot of the heavy damage spikes. I'm starting to bring my Rit through EOTN and I change off between Channeling and Communing depending on the group I'm with and the area.
