Need Norn Tournament Advice Please!

I'm trying to do the Norn Tournament on my monk, and am using a standard 55 build. But it seems that I can't kill even the easiest round 1 baddies. Has anyone ever beaten the tournament with a monk? Or does anyone have any ideas on what skills/attributes to use? Thanks!

Okay, I know it sounds ridiculous, but go ritualist secondary. Have 12 in communing, and 10-12 channeling. Use the quick spirits like Bloodsong, Pain, and Shadowsong for safety. If you can handle it, use Dissonance too. Painful Bond is a big helper, but using it may require that you drop Shadowsong or Dissonance.

My warrior beat the tournament three times yesterday with a total of 35 energy using spirits. I'm sure a monk can do better in regards to energy.

Oh, and people may say that the spirit plan to win the tournament was nerfed, but there's still a way: When the door opens, walk part way through, but not all the way. Stand right over the bronze strip on the ground in front of the door. This is where you summon your spirits. You can get the spirits in range to attack your foe, but it won't trigger the door's closing and the start of the match.

Also, just for backup, use Ursan Blessing. Big helper against Magni.

Secondly unless you really feel your going to use the skills awarded for the tournament I would sugest you bring another profession as they would likely have a much easier time and can trade the tokens to your monk if you really want the Crown for him.

i beat this with both my monk 22 sv build and my necro 55 sv build they are the same almost. so it can be done here is the code i used for necro OANDQcnfS1DgEqQ3gpEyD6DiEA but i used almost the same one for monk. there is things to remember get your enchants up before you cross into the arena makes sure you have full energy then hit sv and attack with magni i had to cast sv twice cause hes got the signet the only one i couldnt beat was razah he used the spirit spammer build and i think i had a long battle with menhlo too he uses almost same build as me. here is a copy of my build i used for my rit spirit spammer OACiAyiMVO9N5D2Ji5c2oMVNBA if you want to try it the only changes to it is make your secondary rit but the skill sets the same

go to mo/rt and then bring some spirits with you and summon spirit
before you cross the second bar , set up all spirits and you summon spirits , then watch ur enemys die
