Wikipedia has a rather long article on GW2, including lore for it. It includes what has happened to each continent in the time gap, and stuff about the dragons. Is this authentic, or is it just some person editing wikipedia for a laugh?

It was in the PCGamer article, and they got it directly from Anet, so it's probably true.

It was a whole section of the special edition PC Gamer that contained the destroyer mini-pet code.

And in the magazine it looks like part of the article is missing as well. On page 92 the story ends on the page with something about dragons and then jumps on page 95 to something about tidal waves in Kryta. It seems like a section is missing.

Yes, there was a printing issue with the magazine and a page is missing.

Yup, that page was missing. To make up for it, PC Gamer released that entire article on their site. The missing part is mostly about Ascalon's fall.
