Signet only build
Dark Paladin X
Hey guys, I'm looking for a build that mostly use signets as an advantage in PvP and PvE. The reason I asked is because I found several builds that is quite difficult for energy management. Or maybe at least takes advantage of the use of signets in case of energy denial. But I want a build mostly focuses the use of these two skills:
[skill]Mantra of Signets[/skill] [skill]Keystone Signet[/skill]
[skill]Mantra of Signets[/skill] [skill]Keystone Signet[/skill]

Attribute points as you like. [skill]Keystone Signet[/skill][skill]Mantra Of Inscriptions[/skill][skill]Leech Signet[/skill][skill]Signet Of Weariness[/skill][skill]Signet Of Disruption[/skill][skill]Web Of Disruption[/skill][skill]Purge Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] This build will be utter crap in PvP, and won't be great in PvE, but it's a mostly all signet build. Maybe watchful spirit. Since your skills don't take energy to use, might as well throw some bonds out
Winterclaw
Silly question, but wouldn't mantra of inscriptions be better for a signet-heavy bar? And if you are being E-denied, think about bringing ether signet.
Skycluster
I suggest bonds if you wanna use mostly signets. Equip a signet insignia for better defense and if you have Gw:en signet of disruption would be really useful. Usually tho monks smiting signets are the only ones used for a damaged build. I would suggest 4 skills of your choice then 3 and 4 signets (including res sig) to help your energy or interupt. I always saw signets as a way to conserve energy. But your not really conserving with a all signet build... I really could only come up with a deadly sin spiker build with Keystone signet.

[skill]Keystone Signet[/skill][skill]Ether Signet[/skill][skill]Life Bond[/skill][skill]Mantra of Inscriptions[/skill]
I ran this in early 12-mesmer Elite areas. =DNC=Trucker
We've been trying to come up with a great all signet build for the mesmer for a long time now I have yet to see one that really stands out. Either they make signet of illusions work on spells and signets so we can actually load 8 signets in the bar that aren't spread across 5 attributes, or use a bunch of inspiration signets to run around and say "haha, I have no energy problems!"
But, to offer one piece of advice, signet of humility is great for PvP. There are a lot of builds out there that suffer tremendously when the elite is disabled. TGgold

That's what I run sometimes just for fun. It's nifty. I'd definately make some changes though, depending on the utility of the rest of the bar. You may want to look into a Me/W using Artificer's Armor and Symbolic Strike too. Toutatis
I have Gwen set up with a signet based build for PvE, and by and large she's very effective with it. If it works well with the AI, it should work just as well if not better in the hands of a human player. Getting the most out of this build requires some coordination with another party member - someone to throw out hexes to get the most out of Signet of Disruption.
Ether Feast Signet of Distraction Signet of Disruption (may be replaced with Signet of Disenchantment depending on regional requirements) Leech Signet Unnatural Signet (may be replaced with Mantra of Signets depending on regional requirements) Signet of Humility Keystone Signet [E] Resurrection Signet Cherng Butter

That's not utter crap anymore! (Though you'd throw Sig of Humility in there). Stormlord Alex
I dunno, with the Keystone Signet buff... All-signet messies are actually being... well... seen.
[skill]purge signet[/skill] is good. As is... Signet of Distraction. AlienFromBeyond

I ran this in early 12-mesmer Elite areas. That is certainly an amusing way of running a Mesmer as a bonder without access to Blessed Signet. Also, I wish the forum would get updated skill descriptions. I totally forgot Keystone Signet recharged in 10 seconds now rather than the 30 it lists. Avarre
Keystone has become a noticeable PvP build - one that is actually dangerously powerful;
[skill]Keystone Signet[/skill][skill]signet of humility[/skill][skill]signet of weariness[/skill][skill]unnatural signet[/skill][skill]symbolic celerity[/skill][skill]signet of distraction[/skill][skill]mantra of inscriptions[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill] With some variations depending on the rest of the team. glountz

We used: [skill]keystone signet[/skill][skill]signet of humility[/skill][skill]signet of weariness[/skill][skill]unnatural signet[/skill][skill]purge signet[/skill][skill]signet of distraction[/skill][skill][/skill]strenght of honor[skill]resurrection signet[/skill] SoH on 4 melee attacker (even pets). Using MoS and symbolic celerity with Keystone is not that needed I think. Maybe symbolic celerity. But with a near full signet bar you won't need the extra recharge boost on Keystone. The ability to maintain 4 enchantment with signets build is not to be ignored. nighthawk329
The thing about all these builds is that there is no anti-melee. If this build is for TA/RA, there are lots of sins and wars running around.
So I was thinking...what if you used signet of midnight? Signet of Midnight [E] Signet of Humility Signet of Weariness Signet of Distraction Purge Signet Mantra of Inscriptions Symbolic Celerity Resurrection Signet Sig of midnight would shutdown physical damage, and with a recharge of less than 5 seconds (with MoI and SC), it's easily spammable to counter monk condition removal. Sig of Humility is self explanatory. Shut down that monk! Sig of weariness is great e-denial in a signet. Sig of distraction = interrupt and disable a skill for 30 seconds, every 10 seconds. Purge signet: great if the monk has nasty hexes like Migraine. MoI, SC, and res are self explanatory. I'm going to try this out tomorrow, but the only problem I can see right now is that you might not be able to spam the sigs enough... |
