Alcohol

Hey I was reading around the forums... and I saw somebody make note of collecting "Sentient Seeds" to trade in for alcohol (and some other item for sweets)... but when I checked GWiki... it seemed that only the "Sentient Spores" are tradable for Vabbian Wine I believe. I just wanted that cleared up... so I'm not collecting the wrong items.

Also if there are any other "farmable" drops that can be collected to trade in for alcohol/sweets during events (I think I read about Mandragor Roots for sweets), please let me know. Thanks in advance ^_^

for upcomming Halloween events I think any newbie area trophy will be tradable.

I don't remember the precise name of the collectibles....
But what you're after are the Plants in Kourna / Vabbi and the Mandragors in Kourna.
Their collector items can be traded for booze / sweets respectively... which is why I'm hoarding them in large numbers.
Best place to "farm" them would be Holdings of Chokhin for plants and Arkjok Ward for Mandragors.


For events though?
I don't know. Some folks seem to know collector items for events ahead of time but I sure as hell don't.
I DO know however that you can get Spiked EggNog from the end-chest of the Secret Lair of the Snowmen in GW:EN .... as well as a chance of Aged Dwarven Ale from any of Kilroy Stonekin's GW:EN quests.

If there is one thing I tend to keep track of, it is how to get free booze.

Collectable drops can be swapped for alcohols (eggnogs, absinthe, spiked eggnog and witches brew) at the Halloween event and Wintersday. Going on previous years' events, the drops to keep hold of are -

(Tyria) Charr carvings, Ornate grawl necklaces, singed gargoyle skulls, stormy eyes, decayed orr emblems, shadowy remnants, glowing hearts, hardened humps, feathered caromi scalps, dredge manifestos, maguuma manes, frigid hearts, white mantle emblems, frozen remnants, stone summit badges, feathered avicara scalps.

(Elona) Silver bullion coins, mandragor carapaces, sentient roots, fledgeling skree wings, copper shillings, chunk of drake flesh, juvenile termite legs.

Depending on how many you get, it can take up quite a bit of space in your storage, but still, you're getting free alcohol for killing something you would have killed anyway, and would have probably merchanted the drop anyway.

i've already maxed alcohol. are there any sweets that can be traded for? if so, what are the drops?

The best way to get booze and sweets is to wait till halloween and christmas and all of those and participate in the fun and games to get lots of goodies
