I was hoping somebody would clear some things up for me. Anyways i was thinking of getting eye of the north or nightfall for my birthday but i am very confused.

Does eye of the north have the heroes of nightfall? the luxon/kurzick battles of factions? all the professions? does it basically have everything old ones had? Does eye of the north allow to create characters from level 1? Does eye of the north have all the skills of other campaings?

What would you recommend, whats better? I already got a lvl 20 warrior in factions but really want to play one of the new professions of nightfall with heros of nightfall while enjoying the new features of eye of the north...

If you choose EOTN - You will get everything that you have with factions, + all of the EXTRA content with EOTN:- 10 new skills per proffession that you have access to, all of the PVE only skills, 10 heroes [some of which will be limited because they use NF specific skills], access to hero battles, and of course, access to the EOTN storyline, armor etc)

If you choose NF, you get 2 new proffessions, increased storage space, Extra Elite skills, extra normal skills, new continent with a bigger storyline, heroes which you can FULLY customise, more armor than is offered in GWEN, access to hero battles etc

NF is the smarter choice

Eye of the North is an expansion, and does not allow you to create a new character. The content is geared toward level 20 characters. There are new PvE only skills, but no new elites.

EotN also has heroes available, different ones than Nightfall, but covering all of the professions, so you can try the hero system out. But if you want to create either a paragon or dervish, you need to own the Nightfall campaign.

I suggest buying Nightfall. I love GWEN, but Nightfall is a broader, richer experience that takes a long time to play. GWEN is a great add on for later. Nightfall also gives you a lot of heroes, and so will GWEN. You can then combine multiple professions into juggernaut type farmers and such for a bit of mix-it-up fun.

Do you have prophicies? I recommend it the most, I think it is the most fun of then all. But NF is most defenetly a close second.

EOTN blows, don't waste your money on it. Just grab one of the games you don't own yet, I guarantee that you'll get more out of it. If you have all 3, then don't stress, you aren't missing ANYTHING.

If you want to play the Nightfall professions, you have to buy Nightfall.

Plus, there's some very nice PvE only Nightfall skills.

GWEN is a fun expansion, but short, and if you're interested in making new characters, it does not offer that.

heroes of nightfall? No, EotN has it's own set of heroes, 1 for each class i nthe game

kurzick/luxon battles? No EotN has nothing to do with AB, etc from Factions

professions, characters? EotN has no new professions and no way of making a new character in it. EotN is intended for your pre-existing L20 characters, which must be created in which ever full games (prophecies, factions, nightfall) that you own

skills? EotN adds 10 skills for each class in the game (no new elites) as well as core skills that already exist in the game. Bosses can have elites from all 3 of the games, but you'll need to own the correct game to use the elite. EotN also has 50 PvE only skills that are class independant and based upon your rank with the various races you'll find in the EotN areas.

spending the same money you can get GW platinium edition that brings prophecies + Eye of the north instead of nighfall ... nighfall is awnsome but for me prophecies still rocks ... awnsome to make a new character and do the pre-searing + normal campaign - with eye of north you have acess to the heros ... so all in one for same money then nighfall

Some of the OPs questions are a little unfair.

Quote: all the professions? No Chapter has all the Professions. You have to own each Chapter to have all Professions (GWEN has no creatable characters, as it is an expansion, not a true Chapter).

Quote:
Does eye of the north have all the skills of other campaings? Again, no Chapter has all the skills.

As stated above, GWEN as 10 new skills per prof, the core skills, and some Elites. Plus 50 new PvE only skills, of which, the Norn Blessings are Elite. So, the statement "no new Elites" is false. "No new non-PvE only Elites".

TY all in advance! Personally, even though I enjoy EoTN much more than NF, I'd suggest purchasing Nightfall first. You'll get slightly more heroes, more available skills, a longer story, and..the ability to create a Dervish or Paragon(Assuming you want to try either of those). Furthermore, without Nightfall, you'll be missing out on a lot of elite skills and regular skills for you and your future heroes.

I suggest purchasing Nightfall, and then if you want lots more Guild Wars, buy the Platinum edition (Prophecies + EoTN).
