HM Bonus = Automatic NM Bonus?

Somebody told me that getting the bonus in Hard Mode means you automatically get it in Normal mode. Is there any truth to this claim?

That defeats the point. It's called Legendary Guardian for a reason. It means you've beaten all missions every which way (HM and NM).
