I've beaten all four campaigns, and am now bored out of my mind with GW. I want to keep playing it, but whenever I get on, I get bored too quickly. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I started working on maxing out some of my titles, but frankly, I hate the grinding that all of them require.

I tried to get a few of my other characters through the campaigns, but that was even worse.

I enjoyed solo farming, but I'm sick of the constant nerfs, and even it gets boring after a while.

Maybe I don't love GW afterall...

I guess I could help noobs get started.

Any suggestions on what you do to maintain your interest in the game?

Well if grinding isn't your idea of "fun". I would say, find a new game.

Guild wars 2 is going to be more like WoW. Basically if you don't like grinding, I have a feeling you won't enjoy it that much.

I am not saying the game will be 100% like WoW with all the grinding. But grinding is a big part of all mmorpgs even if you don't have to be lvl 100 to be good, people who like to grind are the main people who get those games.

Move on to pvp and hall of heroes perhaps? Sure theirs constant nerfing, but hey you might enjoy pvping more.

Have a goal and move toward that goal. Once that's done, find another goal.

If you are out of goals or have little interest in pursuing them, then it's Time for a new game or walking away from it for a few months. At least it won't cost you every month to walk away for a while.

PvP is a good suggestion. I never really got into any sort of pvp except for a bit of random arena way back when. Tried alliance battles for the first Time and found that I did enjoy it, although I'm now back to trying to get all of my remaining characters through factions at about the same Time (take advantage of faction points). Frankly I really detest the Factions map and it's somewhat of a slow grind, but I'll get there eventually.

Seriously, walk away for a while. Maybe you'll stay away permanently, maybe not.

Well, you did say you practically played through the game and you don't really enjoy playing GW anymore...

...so why play? Maybe you should give yourself a break from it, it's not as if that's a bad thing... The game is great, but if you did everything you think is fun then maybe it's time to, like, move on It's not a shameful thing to do, IMO.

you played through all campaigns, it means you already spent like 100+ hours in the game? What other games gives you that much fun? You should be satisfied...I mean, I get bored of a lot of games after 100 minutes of playing it.

Taking a break is always a good idea. It's what I do when I get bored with it, usually takes only a day or two for me to get interested again.

I hate grind as much as the next guy, so I don't persue titles that feel like grind to me (Asuran, Norn, etc). I go for the ones that give me a sense of challenge - Protector (PUG only groups), Skill Hunter, and now I'm working on vanquishing places.

Either take a break from the game, play another game, or start PvPing. I'm in a similar situation. All I want to do now is either buy more sets of armor for my characters or PvP.

As for another game, if you don't want to go to WoW, LotrO is a great option. I canceled my Lotro subscription (due to college, work) but when I get into the swing of things I'll renew my subscription. There's just so much to do in Lotro.

Switch to other games. I play Oblivion and 9Dragons and GW. They all help me "re-feel" the game by not being so drowned in one. I also found another outlet in GW that works well in my real life - I am a professional storyteller, so I brought that into GW and tell stories of the Norn around the fire at Gunnar's Hold. I always draw quite a crowd in team chat, so I mention that GW can be a lot more than just grind. Make it what you want!

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess a break would be healthy. Ha ha.

The idea of vanquishing in HM kind of interests me. I wonder if I could get my vanquisher and guardian titles with only Heros and Henchies? Maybe I need a more social guild. I play in the US, and 99% of my guild is in the UK. They're all asleep when I play.

Are there any guilds out there that focus on Hard Mode play?

Keep repeating the Shards of Orr dungeon until you actually get a good drop from the end chest LOL

DELETE and Start a character over use only the items you find along the way and do not go to staroge for anything. Only use what you find and only buy armor you can afford.

Read a book. I go between mostly reading, movies, friends and family and GW for my leisure time activities... not necessarily in that order. And I'm especially vigilant about reading because with games and other entertainment available on the internet, I feel reading is too easily neglected.

I have very eclectic taste in reading material, and, at the moment, I'm enjoying the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. This series is clearly a huge influence on GW, and it's fun to see the similarities between the books and the game. The books I've read so far in the series are not especially well written... much more cliché than imaginative writing, but written well enough and combined with very good storytelling, so that it's worth it.

I recommend it to any GW fans.

The question I would have for the OP would be which characters did he beat all 4 games with? Have you done it with different professions? You get a whole new perspective of the game when you've played different professions thru all 4 chapters.

Become one of those wierdo's who just jabber all day long in SJM all day long....gosh how I hate them...

OR you can farm for FoW armor. There are no "constant" nerfs to UW builds, and for me it really brings a smile to my face seeing these words"

Smite Crawler drops a Glob of Ectoplasm.

The G and the E...ohh too much verbal goodness!

when I get bored I either stop and catch up on anime I downloaded, read, go out with friends etc., or if I want to play I make a new character that I havent played before and redo a starter area. Right now I have a pre sear ele and an Elonian warrior (I played ele but its been 2 years since I did pre sear with one).
My warrior is level 13 and the ele is 6.
