I would not say that it matters to make a distinction either way. What's the difference between having your connection go out and turning it off manually? None that the game can see. If it allowed to reconnect with no penalty, this would become the de facto form of abuse. Leaving would require more effort than it used to, but it would still be prevalent.

You don't get a dishonorable for a single disconnect. So either you have a really bad connection and should probably give up for a while OR you are trying to exploit the system and deserve the dishonorable status...

I will go on topic then and say that if you were trying to exploit the reconnect feature to avoid getting dishonorable status, then I don't feel sympathy for you if you got it anyway. The system is there for a reason, you don't actually have to stare at your computer screen watching the noobs die or the runner run for a half hour. You can actually walk away from the computer for a couple minutes. Or, take the dishonorable title and do it anyway! You got 10 minutes to kill, get up anyway. And besides, there are other people on your team; it isn't all about you.

I'm not saying to hang around, just get the fight over with. Fight for 10 seconds, die and just watch the computer until they die. If they're horrible like you say, they'll drop in no time and you can just fight again. It's either waste two minutes or waste 10. And if you get a bunch of bad teams, try out TA.

Then try going with your guild/alliance. Guild groups are almost always better than PuGs (unless you're in a bad guild, then why are you still there?).

I can't expect my guild/alliance to always been on call. One guild is European, so they're usually offline when I'm on, and my guild is usually online later at night, when I wasn't ABing.

yeah, well there's no preventing the imminent.. So either you're a leaver [RAWR!!!] or you're a team player for however long you stay online.. You can't just leave a team for no reason.. even if they are crap.. Well not anymore at least lol.. so 10 minutes or 5 minutes with SOME faction.. Not the hardest of decisions..

Considering the same thing happens when you leave but you get no reward at all. I'd rather have a little bit of faction and the option to play again right away than no faction and being banned from the fight for 10 mins (even longer if you keep doing this). Even if you don't win, you still get some amount of faction (alliance and balthazar). You gotta understand that with random areas such as AB, there is a chance you will end up with a bad team, but that's the risk you take and you shouldn't be able to skip out when the risk pays out unfavorably.

Face it, you tried to exploit the reconnect feature thinkin you wouldnt get dishonor status and it backfired on you. People talk smack in ab, always have and always will. Its not really somethin to get all upset about and unplug your internet thinkin you were gonna get out of dishonor. And say your on the kurzick side and your deep in luxon territory your gonna lose more than you win. So you can either get all pissy and leave and sit out for 10 min or you can keep playin and lose a few matches. Just have fun.,...its a game!

I have been on teams where we were far behind and because everyone stayed and kept playing we came back and won! It is not over until it is over... However, leavers guarantee that the rest of the players will lose so you are not just being a poor sport, you are actually helping the other side win. The very least you can do is get dishonor for undermining 11 other players on purpose and aiding the enemy!
I also can't help but believe that with so much smack talk going on that people are not putting 100% into the battle anyway. Let the idiots rant...use it against them and win instead of playing their stupid word games and handing them the victory because you have thin skin.
By joining 11 other people you should be making a 10 minute commitment to do your best. Losing because you got beat is different than losing because you didn't try...

i hate AB leavers, they are the worst, every one person that leaves significantly reduces the chance of pulling off a W. even if it is in a terrible PUG you dont leave an AB. Every time you leave an AB you piss off 11 other ppl. No wonder you got that title, i suggest playing the game in a more considerate way. And if you are overly concerned about bad PUGs then talk to the group and make sure everyone knows what is going on. If they dont speak the same language then good luck that is a just a risk you'd have to take if you want to group with them.
