Because cracks are illegal. Admitting to generating, acquiring or using them (even on public forums) can lead to legal action, as well as being banned from the forum you posted your admission on.

Not only that - but we as consumers get to see why the prices of the things we enjoy (this does not only include gaming online, but gaming in general) go up.

GW is a game that's focused on you, the player. how well you perform in game depends on you entirely, and not on how well your character is. in fact, i can give you my fully pvp ready ranger, complete with 4 ascended armor sets and perfect bows for every occasion, and you still won't be able to defeat anybody at this point.

in GW, it's all about what YOU can do, not what your character.
