This question has probably been asked before, but If I get my group to kill the enemies surrounding a boss, and then flag them away until their names are gray, will i get all the loot from killing the boss alone?

i agree...some said this didn't work anymore....but i think it still does....least seems to to me

It should still work, I was doing it on EoTN green drop weekend and I got plenty of greens.
