character created???

hi there

is there anyway to find out where a char was created??

i.e factions/nightfall/prophecy's, i.m asking as i would like to be able to get all 200 attribute points(i have 170 up to now).i thought i made my char in prophecy's so i went to get the quest off vanyi in drokers forge but she dose not have the icon above her head
i did ascend in the closer to the stars quest but i know (or i'm quit sure)i did not start the character in the faction campaign,i just can't remember as it has been about 2 years since i created this char.


any help would be great

maybe because of the hair and face of the character

you can type in /age to find out approximately when the character was created...its gives months since creation and hours played on that toon.

On the character selection screen, top right hand corner, there should be a home campaign for your character.

Well, if it is a Proph char, Vanyi won't give you her quest (which is the 2nd 15 point quest) if you haven't done the 1st 15 point quest, iirc.

do you have to be ascended in order to get them?

you can get the first proph 15att point quest before ascending, but the 2nd one can only be gotten after you ascend (coz you have to change your secondary prof)

I'd know..i just did it a few days ago and i was getting impatient having to run around "proving" myself to that stupid vanyi

When you log on, the info box in the character selection screen will show you which campaign your character was created in. For example (in the red box):

i created my char in prophecy's but i dont know if im ascended coz i havent done the 3 main quests to ascend but on the other hand i wanted to go down to the underworld but was unable as i was not ascended so i did a quest in factions called closer to the stars now i'm able to go down to the UW so dose this mean i'am ascended???

If you did Closer to the Stars, that means you're ascended.

As people have said above, make sure you do the desert attribute quest before the shiverpeaks one.

Whoops, I meant Nahpui Quarter, the mission after Closer to the Stars. I'm half asleep >.<

If you beat the mission, you're ascended Sorry about the confusion there.

Not true if he has a Prophecies character - I'm pretty sure you have to do the ascension mission(s) for the campaign the character started in, which unfortunately is more of a pain in Prophecies.

Best advice is to just plough through the Crystal Desert and do all the missions/quests there. Then create all your other characters in Factions or Nightfall.

I'm pretty sure any character is able to do Prophecies or Factions Ascension, it doesnt matter which campaign the character is born in. The exception is Nightfall, you have to be Elonian for Hunted! to count towards Ascension.

While doing an Ascension mission for a non-campaign char might qualify you as Ascended to do Underworld, it doesn't count towards being able to change your 2nd, at least it didn't when my Fact char completed the Elonan ascension mission and tried to change 2nds at the Outpost. I didn't gain that ability til I went back to Cantha and did Nahpui.

That is because Hunted! is different than other Ascension processes. Hunted! only counts for Elonian characters.

Oh, that's good to know. I've been debating whether to roll a Prophecies or Nightfall Necro and the main thing I had against Prophecies was the longer time to ascend, but if I only have to do the attribute quests there, then that's a lot less hassle.

Easiest way to tell is by looking at them. Post a screenshot and most of us will probably be able to tell you what campaign it's from.

To help back this up, I've got a factions monk that i took to prophecies as soon as i got to kaineng for the first time. I've ascended through the desert rather than through factions quests.

That Dervish looks exactly like mine. Well, mine has a bit darker skin. Tell me, is yours still level 8 on noobie island as well?
