I'm a Dervish, how do I complete The Elite Areas? (Dupe thread ;) )

Yeah sorry I stole the thread name and concept from the mesmer one

Wanting to do the elite areas (deep+urgoz) with my Dervish now.. but they seem to have no place in a PUG.

I don't know what build I could use to be efficient to an experienced group in either missions.

I suppose at a stretch you could run a derv BiP or something.

I feel for you, at least the common consensus seems that a mesmer can stand in for Ele and Necro if need be. The Derv would have a hard time doing this.

Surely though there must be a Derv tank build which could take one of the warrior slots? Derv's the only class I never played much so I can't offer much help as to an actual build, soz.

I think that yes you can replace a tank, for knockdowns instead of shove maybe you can use You move like a dwarf from Gwen. But you mustn't rely too much on enchantments, better get some stances from Tactics or something like that.

You Can Replace one of the Tanks in the Deep. I have done it with mine not too long ago. The build was something like...

Only problem with my build was I did not go D/A for recall, so a vamp weapon is good to have to suicide yourself at the gate in the Deep.

Shove (Elite) Although Avatar of Balth might be an option to go D/A plus the Armor you get from it, b/c Kanaxai hits very Hard and Fast. If you do, Take Eternal Aura to perma maintain it is a possiblity, havent tried it myself.

As for Urgoz...ummm Guildies or Alliance would probably be your best bet.

Did it with a bunch of friends so the group was more than helpful in taking me

D/E is seen a lot in DoA, with Obsidian Flesh for tanking. That's about all I've seen in the elite areas.
