Can you turn in NM books after rank 8?

I would like to know >.>.

Say I get to rank 8 and just for some reason I have grinded all the way and have saved my book.

Could I turn in my NM handbook for the 20k? or am I forced to only give him hardmode books?

Tried it at rank 9 and I wasn't able to turn in normal mode books so I assume rank 8 is the same.

NOTE: You cannot turn in a book in normal mode if you are rank 8 or higher in the relevant title.

fine, i'll get to 79,999 points THEN turn in my normal mode book, could I do that? >.>

Yeah, since you would be rank 7 still
