+Energy VS +regen

hey, my mesmer can now choose between an armor set that gives +5 energy on each part (for +20 energy total) or +1 regen on each part, for +4 in total (if it is stacking?)

Which of these is better???

Until you add Runes and Insignias, all armor has the same stats (supposing it is maxed armor). A Mesmer will ALWAYS have an energy regen of 4, and 30 base energy. Using runes like Attunement and Insignias like Radiant can increase your max energy, but energy regen is always maxed at 4 (unless using certain skills).

I am talking about the armor sets low level players can buy from Corwen in Ascalon city.

But I suppose if regen is maxed out at +4, I'll get the +20 energy instead, because getting extra regen would be pointless then.

Doesn't matter what armor you get, it will only LOOK different. Runes and Insignias are the ONLY way to change the energy total.

Oh wow woops! I thought all the blue items were one set and all the white items were another! I'm with stupid :x

And they also give the exact same bonuses as the starter set, lol...

All of the armors give the same inherent boni, with the exception of the armor rating. However, you can modify your energy and (in some cases) energy regeneration through foci and weapons. But the only way to get more than 4 energy regeneration is through skills.

That's what I want a breastplate that says I'm with stupid with an arrow pointing to the side.
