Old GW:P player in need of some guidance!

Hey guys! I need some guidance!

I used to play GW:P for a long time about two years ago when it came out...
I used to do that 55 monk solo on UW, and play Heroes Accent? (for some reason I don't think that was the name of that map) Got to Rank 6 with little to no use of that IWAY warrior build..! (really proud of that! :P)

I installed that game again (and got like 2 gifts on each char! Those little creatures are lovely! lol ) and now there is like three more additions to the game, etc, etc. Lots of new items and races so I was wondering...

• What are the most wanted items at the moment on my current chapter? And this latest chapter?
• Is having 600 plat a lot of gold these days?
• What build can I use in Heroes Accent with my current chapter? And this latest chapter?

if u got second birthday presents some of them are worth quite a bit
so just sell them and u shud easily have 1-1.5million gold
crystallines are worth lots so are ele swords .they are the main 2 sellers i think

any kind of second birth presents? 1-1.5 mil meaning 1000 plat? =OO

that crystaline in my hands was nt that good of mods.. i gave it to a friend if i remmeber correctly ;P

are there any new sword pommels, grips, etc that are worth a ton, or its the same +30 hp, etc?

The main change you will notice came in with nightfall.
They added inscriptions on the weapons, so you have the familiar bonuses and now also an inscription for another effect.

Also they seperated the built in bonuses on armour so you take the armour style you like and add the bonuses as runes.

Oh and dye remover went all armour comes undyed.

This was around for a while, but became nerfed by the addition of Dying Nightmares with Rend Enchantments and SS.
Not really. However, in the 3rd chapter (Nightfall), inscriptions were introduced. They are the 15% damage modifers (15%^50, 15% -5e, etc.) that can be salvaged, unlike the Tyrian/Canthan weapons.

They are pretty rare drops in Nightfall and Eye of the North. Although the Crystalline Swords are worth much more because of their inherient, unsalvagable damage mod. Some rare miniatures (namely ones from Asian contests) are worth in the millions. And yes, 600k is a nice amount to have. Do some powertrading and you'll be a millionare in no time.:P

Powertrading? Does that mean like, buy cheap sell high or something like that?

Btw, is there a way to do chest runs or farm gold items still?

and where do I go if I want good gold items or expensive ones..? I totally forgot =O

If you want to chest run, i don't recommend doing it in Eye of the North.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure power trading is buy low sell high.

Chest running isn't profitable anymore. General farming to grind out for gold isn't as effective with a new loot scaling system (you get 1/8th the drops you normally get solo, basically you make the same amount of stuff soloing as you do with in a group (minus rare crafter items and golds) so you might as well group with a party).

And ignore that guy who said you can get 1000 plat from a 2nd aniversary mini pet. That's just... blantently incorrect. They are mostly worth like a 16th of that.
