Resurrection Shrine activation size

This was one of the changes in the update a few days ago. Could someone explain what this means? What is the "size of activation" of a Res shrine?

how close to it you need to be, before it becomes the active res site. So when you die it becomes the next res point I assume.

I have a theory that its different for different places and chapters, Prophs seems to be steady. Factions, appears to give some advantage. Nightfall from my experience seems harsh.

There was a problem with that particular res shrine; it could get activated from the valley below the fortress. This would make you res inside the fortress, surrounded by several groups of Kournan soldiers. Not so good if you were trying to vanquish the area in Hard Mode...
