Minipet battle stances: some minipets have 2?

A fair while back Anet implemented battle stances on minipets. I've seen a variety of minipets and their battle stances. Recently, my girlfriend bought me a Lich; his stance is to crouch down and spread his wings. But occasionally, on her client she sees the Lich raise his arms up and spread out his wings. I have screenshots of both; for some reason, though, I only see his crouching battle stance. Anyone able to shed light on this?

Have you had it out and watched it long enough? He extends his arms and wings out really quickly. You can blink/turn your head and miss it easily. Sometimes he just won't do it. He'll just do the crouching stance instead. Don't know how/why that happens though.

Has anyone ever seen a mini pet go into a battle stance on the Devotion monument in HoM?

They just seem to stand around on the dias in their "doing nothing" pose..

As the battle stances are the best parts of the mini pet animations, it would be nice if they actually did them in the HoM.

I bought my boyfriend's (OP) for 16e +20k about a week ago. But the thing is, he can't see that second battle stance

yes, all I see is the crouching Lich battle stance. Do other people only see one of two stances, or both?

Well I did it. I had the money, I wanted it, I bought it. So far, he does do a lot of crouching. Never really stuck around to see him boast his wings. Still, that is one cool mini to have. Almost as cool as my mini Kuunavang.

nothing is as cool as kuunavang... i want them to sell for the 60k they were selling for a while ago lol

they should add a couple more new stances to the mini's, just to keep things "fresh".

It's starting to appear that some players see both battle stances, some only the crouching one. Is this a known issue?

panda has like 2 stances aswell

I swear I've saw the Destroyer Minipet do a 'bored' emote or something similar >.>' as well as its normal one...

I've seen Prince Rurik do /ponder in addition to his normal one as well.

oni has 2 as well, so does ghostly(battle stance and /bored)

what's interesting though is that not everyone sees both of the battle stances on some or all minis.

Rurik has 2 aswell, he goes into his normal battle stance but he also yawns (not really a battle stance).

Are you sure it was /yawn? I've seen him do /ponder.

i saw my mini varesh stand in my hom with her arms crossed, instead of her usual head-down stance. went *blinkblink*
so i'm not crazy?
