which version of gw is the best? the only one i have is factions. eye of the norht is the newest and looks cool. but what do you think i should get after i beat factions?

There is a sticky at the top of the Q&A forum that helps with that decision. If you want heroes, then buy Nightfall campaign or the Eye of the North expansion. Either one is good.

i would definatly have to say prophecies

Platinum edition. That way you can get EotN and Prophecies.

EotN is something you only buy when you've done everything else, imo.

Platinum edition for sure, especially if you're out for a great value-for-money.

Prophesies was the best game and probably still is.
Its bigger than the others or appears to me and the storyline hard to beat,one difference between prophesies and all the others is the time taken to ascend.
You do not becoame a fully powered character ie 200 pts till well into the game.
Its a long road.
I am trying to decide how someone who started with either of the other two games will take to this.
You really think you have achieved something when you ascend in prophesies as indeed you have.
I would like some things updating or reviewing but other than that its still superb.

Nightfall gets you 2 more character classes Dervish and Paragon as well as the hero system already mentioned if thats important go nightfall.
Storyline is very good at least I enjoyed it.
