My idea is this:
If you have more than one campaign, and you have unlocked the skills, then those skills should be open at the skill trainer in the guild hall (only) Not just core skills but any that you have unlocked. This does not include elites.
My reason for this is, there are a lot of good basic not elite skills out there that would help new characters, but if they are still on shing jea, in kamadan etc they do not have access to them. This would increase survivability for new characters and its a reward for those of us who have played for awhile and unlocked alot.
In arguement some will say this could overpower new characters, but other than the Iboga or Mantids on the noob islands I dont see who this hurts. As I said this would not include elites (thats another post) So it shouldnt be to over powering.

An improvemant for the GH skill trainer

You can already do this quite easily, without using a skill point, and most generally for less than 1k, by simply using the normal tomes. It's actually a better solution than the skill trader even when you consider the hassle of going to one of the trading cities to buy the books.
Personally, I love tomes. Once in awhile I use one for myself but they generate more consistent income for me at this point than anything else. I'd hate to seen anything devalue them.

The GH skill trainer imho right now is pretty much useless for anything else but buying a cap sig. Would like to see it offer all unlocked skills and the skills offered in each major city(Kamadan, Kaineng, LA) but possibly only for characters that are...lvl20, and have unlocked each respective campaign. :/

"WTB skill tome Monk"
The hall trainer is near useless as it is. I was looking at the whole killing to birds with one stone kind of thing. make the trainer worth while and be able to get needed skills for newer chars.

The variables are there, just give him a dialog so he teaches: - Common. - Tyrian - Canthan. - Elonian. - 'New' Tyrian. Skills depending on which 'port outposts' you have unlocked. |

I've got a UAX account, which means I can drop by any skills person in any campaign and learn all applicable core and campaign skills. The fact that I can't drop by my guild hall and do the same thing is really annoying. Putting it for all unlocked skills will make it easier to add, too.

- Unlike the other skill trainers he shows skills from all 3 campaigns (plus EOTN)
- As this is quite a handy service the price of adding the skill trainer should be more, maybe 25k.

i agree the GH skill trainer is crappy at the moment. Has it only got core skills?
definately needs an update skills you've unlocked. I mean its a personal guild skill trainer so should be pretty swish. As Rat says its 100k for summin thats almost completely useless apart from getting cap sigs. I own a GH and have been thinking for ages that this service has been a tad lacking,
PS what about the weaponsmith also having a use thats not customising weapons? maybe basic skin max items? would be good for new recruits if nothing else?
