Thirsty River HM

Hi there,
me and my friend are trying to get this mission done on Hard Mode and need a couple of tips. We are both monks and have most heros fully equiped. So far we have tried Sabs build with a mesmer for the monk boss. But we just cant get the priest down >.<. The monk always heals up, and gwen aint that good at timing diversion and such right. So how did u guys manage to get this done?

Defile Flesh, Deep Wound and/or Scourge Healing are usually good answers when you've got 2 monks on the go. Not tried it myself, but I play mesmer and suspect I may have to target the Priest with my H/H while I personally harass the Monk Boss.

If you're not a mesmer by trade you try a knockdown on Monk Boss too while your AI whale on the Priest.

We did that one with one warrior, one assa, three rangers (one BHA, one ebon dust) and one monk (all human), just spiking down the priest while one or two rangers keep the boss dazed and interrupt everything, worked like a charm ^^

I did it with 2 SS necros and equipped them with [skill]Power Drain[/skill] and [skill]Leech Signet[/skill] while i was packing Eviscerate. It certainly took the monk down with little trouble

Earth/Air nuker with KD
Water nuker with Hex+ Maelstorm
Ranger with Interupt + Daze

Don't bother with a mesmer, rangers do the job better. Take a ranger with broad head arrow, savage shot, distracting shot and that monk boss won't get anything off. Then focus all offense on the priest. Just lock the broad head on the Monk boss.

literally did this last night with my ranger but not as a ranger (for my guardian title ^^)

had him rolled as r/w axe warrior :P
sounds weird but destroyed the enemy priests in seconds!

Eviscerate ranger

with 1 hybrid monk
2 SS heroes with aegis and hex removal
healer and mesmer hench!

made the mission fairly simple...bonus is very easy to achieve as king doesn't seem to leave until atleast 12mins in the 3rd area!

oO and BTW BHA ranger is NOT needed in any circumstances I found...rangers don't do enough DPS in this mission IMO so rerolled as warrior and just owned all that came my way...
also have splinter weapon on one of your heroes or yourself...have melee hero / yourself (if tanking) and pull all enemies towards you...then rape them with splinter weapon...incredibly effective (stopped wipe from occuring when enemies respawned when we killed the priest in 2:01)!

Backfire the Priest. Blackout the boss. Hit the Priest.

Did it tonight took sabs build minus +BHA me with Ursan Blessing and my friend as monk^^ We breezed through this mission in no time dont understand how we had trouble before thanks for the tips and i hope someone will find this helpful at a later stage
