Currently the GW:EN NPC's that take hero skill points (the same guys that give you the title effect) all stock the same skills, so they aren't an issue here.

However the Nightfall hero skill trainers have a wide variety of skills which differ between the trainers, meaning that it can take some time to find the skill you want to get. So what I'd like to see is than ANET either adds a new hero skill trainer who offers all skills that the hero skill trainers stock, or they modify an existing one to stock all the skills that the hero skill trainers have.

Naturally this trainer would probably have to be located some distance into the Nightfall campaign. So I'd suggest that Hoju in Gate of Torment would be a good one to alter.

Back before the Factions release the skill trainers all only stocked a few skills, and we even have some that are out in explorable areas. Then ANET added Dakk into prophesies, and I remember how useful he was (up until skill trainers started to stock the skills you had unlocked). So ANET has done something similar to this before to make things easier for us.

What I'd like to see is that each hero skill trainer in GW:EN be given a GW:EN skill for each core profession. At the moment, only the non-core professions get to use hero skill points for GW:EN skills, as they only offer core skills for core professions.

In this manner, there'd be a total of 4 skills throughout GW:EN for each core profession available from the 4 hero skill trainers (one GW:EN skill per core profession each). That'd leave 6 skills from each core profession still to be bought from normal skill trainers.

It would be a bit more convenient, yes, but there isn't much work to be done in the first place. Nearly all the hero skill trainers are found in significant outposts; the only out-of-the-way location is Lair of the Forgotten.

The wiki has available hero skills charted neatly here. Anyone can check it and know within seconds where s/he needs to go.

This is a great idea. I don't think they would locate the NPC in a specific campaign though without putting one in the others as well. It would probably be best served in your Guild Hall. Why not stock a Hero Skill Trainer with all skills for heroes (that you have the campaigns installed for) in your Guild Hall?

Add to that that the Hero skill system Tells you if you have the skill unlocked already... Nothing more frustrating then clicking a hero skill and realizing nothing unlocked cause you already have it on your account already. And at times looking up each one is not the easiest thing in the world when your dealing with up to 11+ characters as many have that own all 3 campaigns. Even if it just showed an unlocked listing like it does on the skill trainer. that would help on hero skills...

Alternatively I would like to see both a profession changer and a Hero skills trainer service added to Guild Halls. There is no reason not to have either. If you want to limit them, make it so you have to talk to the guy in game before the one in the hall will give you access to the new skills available.

The profession changer is just a convenience thing. I mean there is already one in Temple of Balthazar, it would just save 2 mouse clicks and a area load and zone away... Plus it would be another gold sink to invest in for a Guild Hall.

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you brought that up! I have been so frustrated at that exact problem lately. Twice I have thrown away a hero skill point only to realize that I had chosen a skill I already had unlocked.

no IDT it gives it to your character. jsut the heroes. You get the option for a PvE skill in NF and Factions now yes THAT goes on your character. But the hero skills is basically like going to the balthazar faction priest and unlocking a skill on your account. If you already have it unlocked and you try to get it on the hero skill.. lol Yep you just wasted a hero skill point. lol Now that being said its easily recovered, BUt still. lol Its REALLY annoying when it happens cause your like DOH! lol

I'm not sure what you are complaining about. You can make sure you don't already have the skill unlocked by making any hero that profession and looking at their skills. Making a master training that has the whole set would be nice, like done with the trainer in the fire islands

It would be a good idea all around to have a skill trainer at the game end with all the skills in that chapter for both characters and heroes to be honest.

The hero skill trainers do give the skill to the character that spent the hero point on it. I've heard that they didn't always do that, but they do now.

Yes, that link is good for finding specific skills, though it would still be quicker to just map to the fully stocked one if it existed.

probably doesn't use the same system as the skill trainer, as you don't pay for the skills

It's been the case, if not right from the start, pretty close to. You have to be the right profession when you buy the skill, though.
