I have 2 chars with 23 months, and another one with 11. But, that's the only info I can get with the age command. Everyday I login with all them just to see if they have the birthday present.

I think that the age command should also tell you the birthday of the character for helping players.

I know that my chars are sad because I don't remember their birthdays! Help me not missing it! :P

My char is 10 months old, but every day I check when it will be 11 months, then when I will get birthday present...

I cannot wait to get my minipet with my poor and depresed paragon, and I don't remember the day I created him!!

Would be nice to have so we don't keep checking all the time.

It gets frustrating durring that last month before a birthday, slowly watching the days tick away but seeing no progress when you "/age".

It'd be the best update. Ever.

Write it down when you create a char, put it on the sticky note on your computer, make a wiki, a website, make a facebook entry, file it to INS, just don't ask Anet to manage YOUR personal responsibility.

Eh, what? Hell, why have an "age" command at all then?

Oh, wait, maybe because Anet wants to create a user-friendly game.

Seems like a simple enough request.

since I swear one of my chars is stuck at 23 months.

To Saphrium, I agree with what you said, but HOW many ppl write down this info? Not very many, since most ppl didn't know about getting b-day gifts. I didn't when I made my chars 2 yrs ago

Agreed with sky's response to Saphrium. Three of my characters were created back in the first year of GW, before there were minis. I didn't know there was anything special about the day of creation when I made them.

So it's our "personal responsibility" to know what day our character was made but NOT the same "personal responsibility" to know how many hours we've played on our account? Because we get one but not the other... Left hand, right hand.... Nope. You're clueless.

Saphirum, I'm not asking for anet any information for me. I'm asking that they display the information that they already have, because they have character's birthday stored in the database. They use that info to make Birthday presents.

I'm just asking for a minor change in one of their commands without any possible side effect.

it was a seperate cmd as in /birthday
with the date of creation and hopw many days left.

as i use /age alot in missions for time checks and it would get too cluttered imo

What about the characters that were created before anyone, including ANET, knew anything about the minipets ?

1. to Mordakai: /age is an Anet reminder for us to keep track of the "anti-casual" gaming habits+make the us feel better about ourselves.(Look I got this char to lvl20 in 3 hours)
2. to sky sliverwolf, bilateralrope: true that, and I didn't realize I can't get assassin skills nor assassin armors in prophecies either. By this logic, We probably should ask Anet to design armors and skills in prophecies to accommodate that aspect of backward compatibility too. Wait I actually have a better idea, how about making prophecies/god realms monsters drop spears and scythes too?

I really don't see the point. Here's the thing. Those Birthday presents are a surprise. I think it's neat that you can't see the month day hour minute second of a character's lifespan. Come on people, have some patience and enjoy a little mystery in your gaming experience.

This is what happens when you wiki too many things. The game becomes too mapped out and demands for everything in a neat organized pile begin. I still think back to the days when I only had Factions and never knew that a wikipedia for Guild Wars existed. Every time I logged in the game was fresh and interesting.

So to recap, just use the months as your timer. There's no true rush. Enjoy the suspense!

Lol, that's like saying that getting an wrapped present on your birthday is not a surprise. So, let's just forget all our birthday, so it is more funny!

No, the surprise is the pet you get, no the day at which you get it.
