Ok, I have another overall concern. First let me say in 30 years of gaming, I have had a blast playing your games of GW and look forward to many more years of playing it. I love the games, the art work is fantastic the stories actually interesting and all the stuff you do to keep it fresh is amazing. I, we are building a guild and alliance where we everyone in it can get together and have a group to play with we all just play PvE with just a few exceptions but hey to each his own. I now have 10 characters and most of our guild have 4 or more char. We have players that play everyday or night, and players that only get to play once in awhile. Every body helps with whatever. We play for the enjoyment of the game and the adventure we all get to participate in.
The biggest hurdle we have found is the ability to get enough gold or the rare crafting materials in the game to get the elite armors (even though they are of no actual armor benefit over standard max armor (which makes me question why they are there). This is just one more of the concerns we have. We keep hearing the excuse about needing money sinks?? What is that? How many people are actually cheating in the game? 1-2%? For all of us that play PvE, we shouldn’t be punished for that group of people. It’s nice you supposedly increased the amount of gold in PvE and HM but your other restrictions are keeping us from just playing the game and enjoying it. And doing endless farming for gold or nice weapons is boring and distracts form the beauty of our games. None of us want to spend our time haggling with other people in trade channel to get or sell our stuff. That is boring and a total waste of time. We like doing the adventures, the quests, and missions you’ve created in the GW universe. I agree some people like the trade area of the game and like playing solo builds to get that special sword or shield so they can sell it for outrageous amounts of gold. And the few items that fall into that area are fine they like it so that’s good for their fun. However, As common players ie(just adventurers) you’ve created titles for us to complete that are impossible to complete. One for instance 5 elite armors in our Hall of monuments that is 375k plus rares. Guys did you forget about the 60% +- players who play all the time, don’t cheat, and are not “PRO” players. Sure give us hard quests, hard bosses, difficult missions, HM, but make the titles attainable in that context. We play your games, tell others about them, heck a lot of us have even purchased your games for other players we know. So maybe you can make sure we can get the gold and rares needed to complete the titles. Also, What is the sweet tooth and drinking titles?? Might be surprised at how many of us do not drink in real life. Maybe those should just be optional and not automatically put in our hero screen.
My last thing, Why do you kill our characters when we resign to leave an area? (Just annoying especially if we just kicked a bunch of bad margonites butts to complete a quest)
Also, one of our big no-no’s as an alliance and guilds is do not disrespect other players and keep it clean there are Ladies and Children playing too. Scanning the things in the forums here, some people are quite disrespectful and rude. As Wiki and Anet, you should not allow this. I respect all your skills as programmers, artists, and writers. Please consider what I’ve talked about here. Must be something that could be done to really balance things out. Thanks

Somehting that could be done by anet? Like what? Most of this stuff is just people doing what they do on the internet. Shouldn'y be much of a problem for you because of your guild/alliance.
Look, if elite armor is too much trouble (I think it is), just don't bother with it. I haven't bothered with it for over 2 years now. As you note, the only benefit is cosmetic. Titles--even more so. Got a problem with the dying animation when you resign? Dude, c'mon, that shouldn't effect your enjoymnet of the game.

This site is not run by ANet, members of staff of ANet read and post here but it is not the official forums, just a fan site.
Most games have 'gold sinks', usually it is the form of potions or paying to have armour/equipment repaired or upgraded.
It is perfectly possible to play Guild Wars without taking any notice of titles, or elite armour, or 'rare' and expensive equipment.
No-one on these fora knows what 'benefit' completing the HoM will bring, it could be unlocking customised skind for armour, weapons, etc. giving a cosmetic benefit but not a gameplay advantage.
Drinking and eating titles bother some members of your guild/alliance but the casting of spells and killing of people and magical/mythical creatures doesn't? I'm not trying to be funny, but this isn't real life, it's a game, drinking in the game won't impact on their real-life. It won't give them a sudden taste for drinking, cause them to become alcoholic or relapse.
As for the dying on resign, try to imagine that they said "I quit" and flopped themselves down " I'm not taking another step."

Ah you are all to kind but totally miss the point of the post. And I do like the second post of when we die after resigning but it is still annoying

Gold sinks serve a purpose. Every time someone kills something, opens a chest, completes a quest/mission/vanquishes an area, gold(or items eventually sold to a merchant for gold) is generated. That means more and more gold is pumped into the economy every second. Without the gold sinks to remove that gold from the game, it just piles up in everyone's storage to the point that you can't buy a single common crafting material for less then 100k. Gold sinks are there for the benefit of casual players as much as they are for the "pros."
Elite armors and maxed titles are also there only for the players who want them and are willing to spend the time and effort to acquire them. If you are not willing to go that far, then don't. Most titles have no benefit anyway. And for the ones that do, only a few points/percents separate the benefits of maxed out titles and those of lesser ranks. If you want them, work for them like everyone else who has them did. It wasnt easy for them to max their titles either but they wanted them enough to put in that effort. And if you don't like a title, just don't go for it, just like how those of you who don't drink won't go out of their way to buy beer.
Resigning does not kill your character as it does not add to your deathcount.
And as mentioned, this is a fansite forum. GW has no official forum and as such does not regulate this one. If you have a problem, take it up with the guru mods.

Closing this thread as it's full of flamebait, as well as the fact that is is the Q&A forum and not the complaints/whine forum. If you disagree with this decision, please PM me or X Earth X (or another Q&A mod if you want) to discuss this matter further.
