More mini pets in EUROPEAN magazines.

Okay, so Anet frequently makes a certain mini pet available in magazines all around the world, but:
1. The only guaranteed ones were the destroyer that was only released in USA, I thought that europe was Anet's main target, but whatever.
2. The european promotion featured only a limited 1000 miniatures, so you weren't sure you got a mini when you got the magazine.

I just want Anet to make a minipet promotion that aims mainly europe, one that guarantees you to get a miniature when you buy the magazine. I know that these mini's won't really be expensive, but it would be a nice treat for a lot of gamers.
Also, I am from Poland, we got a free mini asura with an issue of CD Action, which is very nice, and I thank you for it. But I would really like to see some more magazine mini's in europe, and while we're at it, make them available in Poland, just like the mini asura. Peace.

2. wasn't it 1000 PER magazine distributor? as in pc gamer had 1000, gamer uk had 1000 (fake name) etc.

Europe kinda had the free mini celedon which you d/l form the net, it was on eu.guildwars.com and not .guildwars.com, so Europe got first word, personally i'd prefere free ingmae ways to get them besides paying for a mag

Nope, I heard it was 1000 mini's in all. Mini ceratadon is nice, but again, I prefer paying and get the mini for sure, than just keep on trying to get a ceratadon on the web for free.

Talach is correct, its 1000 minis per magazine, not total. The mini Ceratadon is a guaranteed mini and meant for Europe, as Gaile has mentioned, though its not limited to Europe. Why would you not want a free mini as they are still available(afaik). And the European GW site lets you trade-in your Asura code for a destroyer code, well at least the German one does. Check out yours if its possible.

I think they are great promotions and each one becomes a potential present for birthdays or holiday events... Works for me.

Grats to the people getting them in europe.. I just wish they were for you and you alone. And not tradable. As so many people think of them as a money maker instead of a marketing token or trophy reward for time in the game. I can not tell you how many times I see people get a pet only to turn around and sell it for 100k+ Why? Is the money that hard to get? No , Is there that much out there that is that expensive? NO. Is there not free or near free equivalents that are good alternatives to high priced things thus making the need for massive amounts of gold in game moot? YEP.

So if you do not want them dont take them from someone that would. Thats all I am saying. I like all my pets. And would never sell them for any reason. I may give them to someone ok, as a gift. especially if I get a duplicate, which has happened. Trade, ok, but selling them.. BAD... Just my opinion. Sorry if some don't like it. but Its a just one. Now with duplicates I simply put them on another character then delete them. that way my original pet is still dedicated and accessible to all characters on the account. BUT I then have it in two monuments.. So thats a good use of a duplicate present.

British one if you don't get a ticket thing, get nothing, which is bleh. Would much rather have been guaranteed at least an asura/destroyer

Hell, how about a promotion that is OUTSIDE of USA/Canada and Europe?

You do know there's BILLIONS more players outside of those countries that play GW and have NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROMOTION EVER.

Lol. Right. Lets not forget the fact that prior to the Grey Giant every single one of the promotions a.net had were in Asia.
Check facts first please.

And Billions? we only are officially at 4 million units sold world wide. what dimension are you posting from...

However I do agree If there are areas that have never gotten a promotion they should get an opportunity for them... But I don't think there are many that has not got SOMETHING.

So what are people asking for

Presumably the original promos in Asia were either to thank a large fanbase out there or to push a flagging product.

Uk and I assume Europe had the Grey Giant and the Asura "dont see many of them running around over here now, probably because everyone has one so they are virtually worthless.

America Got the Destroyer "good for them" I got one too "lucky me"
As usual Australia got none, Never sure if this is Accidental ommission, Local Law or just the Magazines out there are not interested in the idea.

Be nice if the balance or rare birthday pets was adjusted in countries that had no magazine pet offer but I guess thats a difficult one to achieve.

I am thinking, since differences in local laws prevents an identicle pet offer worldwide the best thing would be to have no pet offers at all.
Then you just get the birthday pets.

But your post specifically said Europe, US and Canda. So... not Asia. Also, as somebody pointed out there are only 4.3 billion people on the planet. I'm pretty sure GW players aren't in the billions.

The reason why theres only 1000 minis in the Euro magazines is because those ones are far rarer. Look at how many people have a mini destroyer in towns? Then look at... well, even look at how many people have a grawl, and there were (650?) of them in the promotion, the most of all the types they offered.

the 40k Ceratadon mini pet promotion was for Europe, but they let everyone else have some as well.

Id really rather not have them in magizines, the are to expensive really and im not intrested in a PC mag really. I think an in game draw for the whole world (unless a country has some anti gambling law) would be much more fun ^^.

I rather liked the process of obtaining the Black Moa Chick - why not more promotions like that? I found it much more rewarding to spend a few hours playing the game and actually earn my pet rather than shell out $10 and upload a code (not that I could do it anyway, being from Asia).

The gray giant, asuran (except for a total of 29, bah), destroyer, grawl, and any one of the Mini Madness giveaways are not available to those of us out of Europe and America.

/signed, not for making it europe-only, but rather international availablity, please.

Okay, so I see this topic turned into a general discussion about magazine mini's. Post all of your ideas and maybe Anet will come up with something cool BTW, maybe a worldwide Guild Wars magazine or something... ?

He, less than 1% cahnces of getting a miniture, and you have to send SMS to get such chances... no, mate... I forgot abuot it.

I only get the magazines when the ministure is a sure price, like the Asura and the Giant.
