Is bones the most useless material?
Saphrium
All my other materials are one stack but at the same token I collected like 8 stacks of bones, and never get a chance to use them or craft rare materials, are they the most useless material in GW?
Operative 14
That depends. I get a lot of bones doing my little farming run, and i never use them. I always sell them.
However, I did have to collect them for my primevil armor set, and I would bet if you were a necromancer you would use them more often.

I Phoenix I
Necros use them for armor, I'm pretty sure...
But I think that's about it...
I agree, bones need more uses. I think Ranger armor may use it.

My primary is a necro, other than his 15K set used about 350 bones, I don't see any other use for it, i don't own a ranger and I haven't developed a taste for primeval set.
That may be why.

Very good merch fodder.

*are* bones the most useless crafting item?
Absolutely not. If you're collecting stacks, they can be sold quite easily to merchants, or to other players to complete various armor sets. (Necromancers' Cabal, Elite Cabal, Canthan, Elite Canthan, Rangers Krytan, Dervish and Warriors' Primeval,
Ritualists Imperial, Elite Imperial, And The odd Collectors Grim Cesta.)
Bones can be very profitable at the right place, at the right time, for the right amount.

Always always collect all materials, you cannot use the material storage for anything else and you never know when you need anything.
When it was just prophesies I made a note of all the materials for my characters armour then factions changed it and Nightfall changed it again.
I also find that 10 seconds after I sell something there will be a player looking for it.

agree with dark: if they drop in a zone, they tend to drop in the hundreds, which really add up, and only take 1 slot
anyways I don't think I've ever used bones to craft anything

I would agree with you also, but then EoTN came out.
Ever since, ive been needing alot of bones, dust, iron and feathers for consumables
(Essence of Celerity, Grail of Might and Armor of Salvation)

Bone supply is huge and is way over the actual demand for it.
pamelf
Necro armour uses it quite a bit i believe.
Kale Silvers
I used them for my Primeval and selling them to traders.....
Shadowfox1125
Yeah.. I have 10+ stacks of them..
rick1027
the problem with bones that i see is that you cant use them in crafting some rare materials so once i fill up my storage slot for them i sell the extra off. other thing you can craft rares with that may at some time become useful
Rebelor
they r also used for armor of salvation and res scrolls
N E D M
basically yeh they are not the most sought after item
