I kinda hope this will become available in the store some time after it's release, I also hope that there will be more ways to pay here in the Netherlands by that time. When the online store first came I had a mate with a creditcard and could use his to get 3 slots. I would've bought GWEN in the online store if that mate would still have his creditcard, he didn't, so I couldn't get anything from the online store, missing out on this

Ah well, if it doesn't come available to those that missed out due to limited ways of paying, no biggy, but I would like it.

It will be interesting to see how they handle it because they did not plan this well.

If they let really good things drop then those who could not get it because ANet did not set up the store properly will rightly complain that ANet screwed them over and added good content that many people could not not get. (before you jump on that - I'm not talking about those who chose not to get it but those who could not get it)

If really crappy things drop then those who went and paid 30 bucks (50 bucks in Australia) for things like character slots they did not need in order to get the bonus will rightly complain that they paid 30 bucks for nothing.

Either way they will alienate a good part of their players.

Greens in the bonus mission pack? Sweet! I love greens! Those are the only weapons I'll use. lol I can't wait! Does anyone know for sure when it comes out? Because I'm looking forward to having something new to do. It's boring and too hard/tedious to farm for Legendary Defender of Ascalon.

There was a thread after GWEN was released saying that not all the "design a weapon" contest winners were in GWEN. That Anet will be adding them in a little later date, I am assuming thats what items we will be getting from the BMP. Armors-not gonna happen. Mini's-i can see that happening

Can I qualify for the Bonus Mission Pack through purchases in the PlayNC Store?

Yes, you can. All purchases made through either the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC Store from 20:00 BST, 5 July 2007 through 19:00 BST on 31 October 2007 are added together. Once you meet the required amount, the bonus missions will be yours and you’ll get access once the missions go live in November.

5th July to 31 October. that's almost 4 months. Just because people decided to wait and try get EotN from the online store to cover the amount they needed is no fault of Anet's. The offer was there and there was 4 months for anyone who wanted to take advantage of the offer to spend that much. Anyone who complains that they were not given the chance to buy things from the store get the bonus mission pack is not right to do so.

Cargan, there are plenty of people who couldn't even find means to pay in the online store, if they would give me 8 months and not change anything in that store I'd still not be able to buy anything. So I feel I'm pretty right in complaining about not getting the chance to buy anything in the online store.

What about people that have spent over 30 bucks on GW merchandise OUTSIDE of the online store? Why should I have to miss out on this pack just because I purchased GW the first day it came out when there was no online store? I even bought the collector's edition of NF and the pre-order of EOTN, all for what a few hero weapons and a mini-pet?

I think you should get access if you've bought the game and your character is 2+ years old OR if you've spent more than $30 combined in either the in-game or out-of-game store.

You can easily pick up a Visa backed debit card in the Netherlands. Any large bank will offer it, and they won't charge you retarded rates like they do for credit cards. If you can't find one there for whatever reason, you can always pop over to Germany and pick up a prepaid.

Still hoping for another method to get the BMP... I would buy it from the in-game store for $5. Since Eye of the North was already pre-ordered and bought and the deadline is reached, why not make a little more profit ArenaNet? Offer it as a purchase from the online store, the people who paid $30 already get it for free as well as their purchases so I would expect that mehtod to be fair all around.

5 dollars? is that a joke or just hua?

it wasnt free if you could have bought it with the box for 12 dollars less including tax at your local discount game store.

it was not free if you bought slots you dont need and will never use.

with the 12 dollars saved getting it locally i could later get the BMP for your fiver and then a fast food and popcorn as well.

the idea is to promote the store not torpedo it for any future promotions.

That is still better for ANet than buying it for 12 dollars less in the local store and not buy the BMP at all.

Look, even if Anet offers it in their store, it can't be done right away...

That's not fair to those that did "spend" $30 in the online store just to get the pack... (although the character slots I got are not going unused, I doubt I would have bought them if not for the promotion).

To those that were TRULY, 100% unable to get the mission pack, due to payment problems, etc...I am sorry. Hopefully in the future those kinda things won't be an issue.

To those that simply didn't try, or CHOSE to turn the offer down because they wanted a cardbord box instead...tough luck.
