Skills from quests?

I have just recently purchased Nightfall and found; unlike prophecies, there were no longer skills obtained through quests after the very begining. I also observed the same consistency with Factions. Note that I am not all that far in to both campagnes, so it may be possible that there are some further along, but I am just about to head into Vabbi in Nightfall and I am seriously lacking in skills for my D/Me other than ones I got from training and caps. Please let me know if skills could be gained through quests in Nightfall of Factions after a certain point, thank you.

Factions does not have this feature, neither does nightfall, however in nightfall you will earn hero skill points which allow you to learn skills for your heroes from Hero Skill Trainers. The thing is, these skills are ALSO available for your own character provided you have the correct primary or secondary class.

In Factions and Nightfall there are no Skill Quests beyond the starting island.

In Nightfall you can use the Hero Skill Trainers to acquire some skills.

Yeah, but you make a heck lot more gold going through the game, so you can afford all those skills from the trainer.
