So, we get a nice drop and, aside from maybe a few in-game friends and/or guildies (or our RL friends, who are bored-to-tears with all our GW talk and wouldn't understand/care anyway), we have no one with whom to share the news of our good fortune.
Hence, this thread. Please, drops from kills only - no chest items.
I got a nice gold req 10 Amber Longbow, 15^50 +5 armor Crippling (meh).
Funnily enough, this was the 1st drop on the map - I could've turned around and gone back in, except that I did get a minor vigor, too.

havent logged on today either, but I have been noticing in the last few days more gold drops---to my husbands dismay (he usually gets them)....on one mission I got 3, yes 3 gold drops (all merch stuff, but still something for my wisdom title), got another 2 yesterday (on 2 different characters).
Also have been noticing the amount of dye drops have increased (got 2 yes magically number 2 black last week) got at least one of each color in the past week, one everyday.
Now the rest of my drops have been below par (that 1 of those 2 golds from yesterday was the ONLY drop she got besides a few coin drops).
No idea whats going on, but if they want to give me dye and gold items, I wont complain (much).

Nice drops from explorables in Eye of the North are close to zero. Actually general drops from explorables in Eye of the North seem to me to be close to zero. The explorable area drops have been even worse for me Eye of the North Hard Mode, bordering on the absurdly bad.
Let's not talk about the dungeons in EotN. They have been a waste of time for me; or at least let's say I could have gotten more and better loot in the same amount of time elsewhere.
The good news is, I do find fairly decent drops in Normal Mode and Hard Mode in the other chapters, although Hard Mode in lowbie areas seems to consistently drop better loot for me for some perverse reason. I leveled from 5 to 7 in Lightbearer with my Ranger in RoT Hard Mode, and didn't get any good drops up there in Hard Mode that I can remember. However, I have gotten very nice drops in RoT in Normal Mode, particularly from Margonites.
If you want loot from general drops in explorable areas, my advice is don't bother with Eye of the North. GW:EN is intended as a money sink, a gold sponge, for the other three chapters is my best guess. Not speaking as an authority on that, just my general sense of why the drops in EotN are so poor.
For loot, go to the other three chapters, never the same map twice. Do some missions, important that you do some missions now and then. Mission a day keeps the loot nerf away. Do a bit of PvP too, generally one round in Random Arenas or at Fort Aspenwood every few days is enough.

Not really any good general drops in GWEN at all. About the only thing I get are destroyer cores here and there. Except that I did score 1 golden rin relic after a couple of runs. Course, I pretty soon found out that was a fluke after a lot more runs, and just sold the thing since there was no way I was going to find enough without doing like 1000 runs or something.

Nicest drop Ive ever gotten was a Q9 Tactics Amethyst Aegis and the end of a dungeon. That was about 2 weeks ago.
