My skills (Can use any knockdown skills, just need Pain Inverter and SnowStorm):
Smooth Criminal (Not really needed but I used it anyway. Can be swapped for a KD)
Shove (Needed for KD)
Distracting Blow (Same as a KD)
Sever Artery (Again, can be swapped for a KD)
Snow Storm (To kill the Destroyer of Lives)
Pain Inverter (Vital part to the concept)
Healing Signet (Pretty much explanatory.)
Any hard res.
Attributes:
r5 Dwarf (My stats)
r3 Asura (ofc gets better with better rank)
Heroes Me and my Friend used:
2 Touchers
3 Monks (One WoH, LoD Holy Haste and a Glyph SoR)
1 BHA
Notes:
You need two people for this. Preferably both Warriors but just bring KDs.
Strategy:
Ok, enter the mission. When you go in get the destroyer of lives outside your aggro circle (the nearest one) and keep snowstorming + pain inverting him, should be dead pretty soon. Then go back. The idea is that while you are clrearing the area of Destroyers, you go back to your 'checkpoint' so you don't actually die in flames. Then do the same for the left side. Once you do that, time to move onto the Great Destroyer him/her/itself. Go back to the checkpoint (the bit before the lava) and heal up. Initiate a code before you actually fight the Great Destroyer. This is mine:
When I say 1, Player 2 (my guildie) would use his KDs (hopefully after Pain Inverter).
When I say 2, Player 2 (my guildie) would use Pain Inverter.
And it carries on.
While this is happening, just use skills and whatever to damage this pathetic noob you're killing.
Well done! You've destroyed the Great Destroyer in Hard Mode! *round of applause*
Notes: I'd just use a Staff for Pain Inverter and a Sword for actually using Sever Artery. The professions that can knock down (or interrupted) are:
Warrior
Elementalist
Mesmer
Ritualist(?)
P.S.: Good luck on this one. Not easy to master but me and my guildie completed it on the first go. At first I wasn't bothered, but my courage and determination (and roughed-up leadership) got me through this toughie.
Oh yes and credits to:
The Great Destroyer - I know, he should be dead already, but he inspired me to make a build to kill him over and over and over again :P
Anet - making this fantabulous game which I loved all the way through.
Me - making this guide.
You - Reading my guide.
Last but not least, Omar Renswar, for encouraging me
