survivor title available to the non-zero death char

Hi, I'm a big fan of GW. I owned all 4 campaigns. I've been recently facing a dilemma on getting a Legendary Survivor title for my main character. As the Legendary Survivor title requires zero death before you reach to 1,337,500 xp, I lost the chance to make to this title for my main character since she has died many times while I was new to the game. As of today, my main character has already earned 9 titles and it's painful to go back and start over with new char for all the titles. Even if I earned the Survivor title with a new char. the title still won't count to my main char. I am wondering if Anet can kindly adjust the requirement of survivor title which make possible for all the GW players to get their non-zero deaths char a survivor title. Maybe requires no more deaths while getting a certain amount of xp point? or pay gold to erase the death record? I certainly believe that we will all benefit if Anet could make the survivor title available to the non-zero death char since our main char kept our hope and dream in GW. plz help & support this idea to make it happen !!!

My main character has 7 maxed titles and well on his way to getting 3 more. He also has many hundreds of deaths at just under 3 million xp.

I don't think that a.net will be inclined to change their policy anyTime soon nor do they have any compelling reason to do so.

Here's my blanket response, week in and week out, every time someone posts this.

Other players had the sense to reroll their main character when Factions was released, for the express purpose of achieving Legendary Survivor. At that time, the most you could have possibly lost was the three Tyrian PvE titles, which are regained relatively easily (I did it in just over 100 hours). It is not our fault that you chose not to take that opportunity. Making further progress on your character for another year and a half and then asking for a change in the rules will not win you any sympathy.

the title is for those characters who did not die.

it is not for the moron who sets up an invinca build and farms x number of safe points.

they wont do that to all the people that actually earned it.

I think you kinda missed the point, he didn't set out to achieve survivor and fail. He never had the chance to because he created it before this title was either implemented or he knew about it.

Personally I think every character should get one death reset, so it's still possible to get survivor title. It wouldn't mean it they were at 1.30 million exp they could reset it and get legendary with a little more exp, but they'd have to start over and get all the exp.

I can see pluses and minuses to it though tbh, and I can't see anet implementing it because it would annoy some people.

I made a thread on this, and I see my situation a bit different as I had got to level 2, and then killed because of playing with someone... The title pretty much makes it hard to play with people, if you want it safely. Which I think makes the game less fun in that time. The bit about losing titles, uh, you could of bought FoW too and you'd lose that... I agree that the title should be changed. Don't have to remove death count though, then you could cheat every time you died. I think you should have your survivor XP title. Go back to 0 everytime you die. Keeping your character XP separate.

That's exactly how most people got legendary survivor though...

Ok, this is one topic that I just have to comment in. I started playing GW shortly after the first campaign came out and am still playing it with all 3 campaigns and GW:EN.
I started the game with a ranger and that ranger is still my main character with 21 max titles and 16million+ experience. When I found out that there are two titles that I could never achieve on my ranger, I was a little upset, but I got over it. I got the legendary survivor on my necro and the legendary defender of ascalon on my warrior.
HOWEVER, I definitely think that the survivor title should "somehow" be fixed so that it can be obtained by characters created before the implementation of titles.


Just about everything said here is circumstantial for you and you alone. first of all, what happens to the characters that put in the time to get those 3 pve titles as well as puting in the time to farm up enough money to buy tons of skills and armor sets for their characters? I know that by the time factions came out, my ranger had every ranger skill purchased as well as MANY skills for the other classes. I also had a set of FoW armor and a 15k set for my ranger as well. To remake the character and farm up enough gold just for the survivor title would have been rediculous (thats alot more than 100 hours).
And what is this about making progress on the char for a year and a half before bringing this up? This was brought up many times, a couple right after the survivor title came up...this thread was recently created but its only because past threads werent enough for the devs to consider redo'ing the title.


anyways, that is my rant about this subject. I don't really need the survivor title on my ranger, but i completely understand where people are coming from when they say that they want the chance to get the survivor title on their original characters.

yeah, there alot alot of people that do survivor runs, so it has gotten easier,
as in lv. to 20 in factions then do the missions form back lines then fff the rest, maybe 5 missions and 6-7 quests? easier then doing whoel campaigns of the game.

yeah i didnt know about survivor when i started my char either, so without informed gamers they dont really stand a chance of getting the title on there first char.....

With all due respect, that would take away all the uniqueness and appeal of the survivor title. If you want it that badly, make a new character and go for it.

Maybe it'd be better if Anet just got rid of survivor and LDoA and be done with it.

Why do people that's got everything always want to exclude everyone else that hasn't got something. To reroll a character everytime they died is simply retarded as i see deletion of a character as a final death and not death ingame.

Game is a lot more fun trying not to die, instead of "c-spacebar, swear at Dunkoro, c-spacebar again"

Meh...you can question the merit of any GW accomplishment. Nothing too appealing about that outlook.

Why not add a NPC you can talk to ONCE that resets your deaths, you can then make the xp from that moment onwards.

I can't remember the exact wording I used the last 10 or so times this thread has been posted but I'll try.

I've rerolled 2 year old characters to get survivor, simply beacause I wanted the title bad enough. Yes those characters had titles, nice skins, nice customised weapons, but I knew I could get all those again with the new characters, so I rerolled.

There is absolutely nothing stopping you from getting the title is you want it bad enough.

i agree on the fact that people who had their main char before survivor was threw into guild wars/they didnt have any knowledge about it.
then again itll only end up in tears from the "we did it fairly" guys...
