Hey folks

Can anyone help me out? Im new to Photoshop I just installed the .DDS plugin and I wanna edit models in GW.
But when I save it as a .DDS it will say "All Alpha information will be lost"
I was hoping someone could tell what I was doing wrong or link me to a site were I could find the solution.

Thanks in advance,

Rigorss

Sorry, I have no experience with .DDS plugins or modding for Guild Wars, but I do know that an Alpha Channel is an extra 8-bit layer added to a 24-bit image (8 + 24 = 32 bit) that allows transparency to occur. In games it is used (somehow) to create a bump map for lighting purposes. Since no one else is answering, hopefully that will help you somewhat..

Just save the selection if you think you might need to use it again. Click "Select" then "Save Selection" and a dialog box will appear. Name you selection and save it.

I have no experience using that format but I found this link
and this "The other is a DXTC texture compression plugin for Adobe Photoshop that allows you to open and save .dds files in RGB format. It reads and writes .dds files compressed or uncompressed"

Hope you can use the info!
