I'm new to Factions, very new (2 days) and am wondering if someone could please tell me how to get to Vasburg Armory? I have and mapped Kaineng Center, Vizunah Square (foreign), Dragon's Throat, Tahnnakai Temple and The Marketplace; I need directions from one of these places to get to Vasburg, or a place where i can get a runner. I'm willing to pay a runner if someone could tell me where runs to Vasburg typically start from, and the cost.

Thanks,
Uli

You just need to follow the storyline, you'll get there eventually.

Running to Vasburg is not possible from anywhere if you don't have Eternal Grove completed. And if you do it's kinda useless to get a run. Missions in Factions act as choke points to prevent the running that is so prevalent in Prophecies.

To get to Vasburg Armory, you will have to keep following the storyline. It is not possible to get a direct run in Factions, as new areas only start to open up once you complete missions.

If you've completed Tahhnakai Temple, take the primary quest arc that leads to the Arborstone mission. Complete Arborstone and take the primary quest to the Boreas Seabed mission. Complete Boreas Seabed and take the primary quest to the Sunjiang District mission.

After you complete Sunjiang District, you will find yourself at Maatu Keep. Pick up the primary quest "Journey to House zu Heltzer" here, and HzH will open up to you. You can then take "Befriending the Kurzicks" followed by "Defenders of the Forest" to proceed to The Eternal Grove mission.

After you complete Eternal Grove, you will find yourself in Vasburg Armory.

As people said before, it's not possible without the right conditions set up by the storyline. Even tried to go from HzH to Eternal Grove (Black Moa Chick ftw) but found the doors closed . But the storyline is pretty straightforward and not so difficult (even with H/H). Wiki says it all:

Do people have an aversion to actually playing the game?

Things make more sense when you actually finish the storyline.

He may just want some sweet kurzick armor or something, who (except, of course, the OP) knows.

Agreed, but that's only noticeable if you're actually reading dialogue and watching cutscenes.

Most likely. You gotta admit - the Kurzicks certainly know how to craft a great looking set of armor!

It's not like it takes particularly long to play your way there. I wanted the Vasburg armor for my monk and it took me a few hours of total playing time to get there, plus some time to rack the 10k faction with some quests and Aspenwood.

To sum up what's been said already, you basically need to follow the story line. There is a point at which the path splits into Kurzick and Luxon - it obvious which one to take (and you can do both). You will need to get the 10,000 Kurzick faction, but that's a lot easier now than it was. Happy hunting!

Quite correct . 15k Kurzick is what I'm after. However, it looks like I'll be getting it later rather than sooner since I'll be palying my way to Vasburg.

Thanks for the info everyone.

That armor will cost you lots of money. Unless you bought your money on ebay you shouldn't have enough yet.

I know what 15k amour costs. And I resent the slanderous ebay implication ! As I said, I'm new to Factions, not GW.

except the 5th-11th time through, it gets really tedious espcially since the useful rit elite skills are so far into the game...

It is possible to get to Cavalon before completing Sunjiang mission, but not House zu Helzer; that's the only "shortcut" I'm aware of in Factions.
