Me and my friend recently decided to undertake the task of vanquishing everything in HM, and I was wondering if anyone has any general, or specific, hints on how to vanquish any of the campaigns (we have all three).

Yesterday we cleared the Ascalon Foothills I believe, so we're just starting. We're just going to use the two of us and full heroes.

Sorry if this belongs in the build section, but hopefully I can get some advice here. ^_^ Thanks in advance.

I am busy in Elona, doing H/H.

Tips:
Check the bosses. What type (D or E are potential wipes) and where. Always start with these bosses. If you fail, you have enough monsters left to work on your DP or if you fail big time you can easily restart (instead of playing for an hour and then get wiped).

Check the monsters. Attune your build. E.g. in Elona there is a region with Kournan Elementalists. If there are 4 in one mob it is really annoying...

With the new consumables it is really easier: powerstone is your friend. But it feels like cheating imo. I only use it if I have played for over an hour and dont want to restart.

Good luck!

The mechanics for vanquish are about the same in all campaigns.
Check out the mobs and skills and adjust team build to it.
Learn patrols so you don't get caught between two groups.
Pulling and aggro management are key to success.

Best piece of advice I can offer - don't rush. Lure small groups and the maps aren't all that hard to vanquish.

Start with the smaller areas and learn from there, scoundrels rise is a small area and easy, Sanqua Vale is big but really easy, shadows passage is small and easy, tyria would have to be a challenge

and yes as payne said power stone of courage is really handy if ur just starting, about 3 months ago when i started we didnt have that luxury >.<, just things like candy canes and crap like that

I had already got to 27/33 canthan vanq. when GW:EN came out...last 6 were much simpler with the knowledge I wouldn't have to restart as I could remove all DP...
all of the newb Cantha island is easy IMO except for Jaya Bluffs...I have no idea I just struggled lol...Jade sea in the most was remarkably easy (cantha)
Tyria...ascalon foothills easy as hell, Deldrimor Bowl is large but not a challenge...monk bosses mob is a pain but not strong
the newb island in ELona is all pretty simple.

best advice really is carry a Powerstone and watch the aggro...also if you need good hero builds check out Sab's 3 necro build (think it is) and Racthoh's hero builds - (hero / AI section) very good builds!

Almost finished Tyria myself 49/54 (damned Lornars --> Snakes to go :S). Did most of it h/h or with a Vanq partner and did most of it before GWEN came out so no powerstones or the PvE skills.

Best thing I found to do was find the smallest zone in an area and do that, gets you a feel for what the majority of the area is like and can work around in builds. Hardest for me was Diessa, but using a minion bomber and Grenth Derv made it surprisingly easy. Otherwise consistent management of aggro (use corners!) via Koss (flag + pull onto him, deflag other heroes, turn and fight) and area tailored builds made it enjoyable whilst not being too hard.

Hardest areas are arguably the 4 man Ascalon areas, though with Ebon title-track now they are most likely easier. Oh and Majesty's Rest, had to do that with a guild team.

P.S. PM if you want some in-game help, usually available
