This quest is beyond all belief. Either there's two groups that patrol together so there's no way to defeat them without amassing massive death penalty or there's a spawn with a prophet and two dominators which means they keep ressurecting, over and over and over again in seconds flat. I can't use frozen spirit because the flameshielders will devastate my henchmen so what the hell can I possibly do?
I've wasted too many courage stones. Nothing seems to be working. I'm a warrior with all of the heroes unlocked, I can use any build for any character. Please help!

Use Sabs build. A MM, a SS with skills vs Barbs and such and Restore Necro (or a second SS necro)
I also bought Herta, Mhenlo, Lina and Devona. Also pull for the times when you're there are groups with multiple eles in them (groups with multiple melee are owned by the SS necros and herta)

I used Sab's Ritumancer healing build, a Protection monk and a Broadhead Arrow Ranger with Frozen Soil, Winter, and Rip Enchantment.
Had to use 1 Powerstone at that group with 2 Prophets, Dominators and Flameshielders, but that was because I timed the spiking badly the first times.
Try to take out the Prophet in the smaller group first, since they won't be affected by the Aegis of the Flameshielders in the other group.

I've tried pulling but the NPCs get in the way. When they die, sometimes a nearby group aggros along anyway, despite being on a separate patrol radius. I've also tried doing the whole 3 necro deal but have fallen short. Perhaps I'll switch to the henchies you've recommended and see if that changes anything.
I'll also mix it up and try using my BHA ranger hero.

If you have Pain Inverter I suggest bringing it...it can take out a Charr Seeker very fast if he's fitin on a pack of minions. The Seekers seem to be able to do the greatest amounts of damage, and can't be protected against with Protective spirit since their damage is always split into thousands of little damages.
I've played pretty much the same build throughout Hard Mode and has served extremely well. I play a Dual Attunement blinder. 90% of the enemies which cause the most damage and pressure out there are physical damage dealers. Blinding the Charr Warriors means you can hack away at the casters and Rangers while the warriors swing uselessly at you. Unfortunately the blind doesn't protect against the explosion from Ignite Arrows though.
I also used the Necro Trio for this, except Master of Whispers had 10 Earth Magic and used Ward of Stability and Ward Against Elements. If I were playing with another human for the extra 3 heroes I would have had a Ward Against Harm / Maelstrom Ele too.
The only dodgy part of the mission is when you get to level 2 I think, where one of the Prison Guards is, and there are several groups all inter-patrolling around. These are mostly seekers with prophets. The important thing here is to lure groups as far as you can so prophets from other groups don't wander over to heal them up.

Not sure what class you play but Save yourselves! makes this mission a cakewalk. Also as others have said MM's and rangers work well here, good luck.

As Milennin said, Frozen Soil is a good option. And you have a few Rt choices if you need to rez yourself... Lively Was Naomei iirc?

I haven't tried it in Hard Mode, but Mirror of Disenchantment, if you have Nightfall, can be quite effective against the Charr for getting rid of those mass Conjures they enjoy so much.
Charr
I used MM hero, SS hero with Defile Enchantments and it's duplicate Desecrate Enchantments, Blinding Surge hero, Mhenlo, Lina, Aidan, Herta and me as hammer warrior with Devastating Hammer.
Basicly instead of bothering with removing their Conjure spells you simply turn them against their casters, while at the same time spiking down their monks or if Flameshielder is present disrupting their Meteor Shower.
One more thing, Flameshielders will usually cast MS as their second spell (first is usually Fire Storm) so with some running around is quite easy to trick them in using there MS on you or your allies while you heroes and hencman are safely flagged away.

^ He would know - he's Charr.
