GW Poster - ALL skills in the game

I have been playing Guild Wars since right after the release of Prophecies. I bought the Prima Guide the day I bought the game as I tend to do with all in-depth games I buy. I used to love designing team builds for PvP (and PvE for that matter). It was such a great asset for me to have the Prima guide and be able to see all skills at once. Since the release of Nightfalls, Factions, and Eye of the North, no more guides have been printed. There was the recent "Ultimate Guild Wars Guide" by PC Gamer that I purchased as well (mostly for the stunning artwork and info on GW2).

To be honest, I am fine with there not being new guides printed because I never used the guide for anything other than the skill listings. The missions and quests in this game are pretty self-explanatory in my opinion so I didn't use the guide for those.

-------------------------------------------------------------

So, what I am asking is this:

ArenaNet/NCSoft/Guild Wars Staff,

Will you PLEASE (with sugar on top) make a poster with ALL skills from all 3 campaigns and the GW:EN expansion on it? Pretty Please?

I think the poster would be ideal sorted by profession, then attribute (with primary attribute listed first as left column). Also, color coding the sections by the profession so it's easy to see what professions are where on the poster at a quick glance would be great. Here is a very rough illustration of what my idea looks like in my head...

That is just a rough idea of the layout I was thinking of that would be SO wonderfully useful to players like myself that enjoy designing builds. This would help any player with coming up with H&H builds, PvP team builds, and lots of other stuff. I'm sure the Guilds on the ladder in the tournaments would probably find it useful when designing and experimenting with new GvG builds.

In no way am I trying to dictate how you choose to design the poster IF you did embrace this idea and print the poster, I am just simply trying to illustrate what I am looking for. Any poster with all Guild Wars skills on it (however you lay it out) would be great!

Now for the nitty-gritty... in no way do I expect you not to make money from this, so perhaps you could either work out something with a magazine to supply the poster, or even more to your advantage.... offer it in the online store for ~$5 + shipping? It would be less than a dollar to send a poster in a manilla envelope (assuming it's folded with a cardboard back).

I would surely be willing to spend up to a max of $10 to get a poster like this (though that is a bit steep for a poster).

I would only suggest putting the same info that is on the Wiki skill listing pages like this page for example into the columns.

But this would give everyone a good reference for skills, where to find them, energy costs, descriptions, recast times, etc all in ONE layout. Using the Wiki is great for many things, but for designing builds it's a mess to have all these different tabs open to different skill pages and have to scroll on all of them. It would be much easier with the poster.

Anyone that would be interested in the poster please post your support and /sign this thread.

If you would not be interested in the poster, that is fine. But please do not flame each other or be disrespectful to posts in this thread.

I certainly agree with the "all at a glance" idea you're trying to ask for. I like crafting builds on the fly, and have always played with the idea of "A Build around Every Elite" more than once. I also would buy a poster like that.

Yeah the PvP'ers would really benefit from it. I think the hardcore PvE players that are serious about getting all skills would like it as well.

I created my own Excel spreadsheets with skill references. I have separate sheets for Elite skills and where to cap them. I've also made up sheets for my "skill capper" character with lists of skills she still needs to cap broken down by profession.

I've found my own lists to be much more useful than wiki's. That's probably what you should do as well. Use Wiki as a starting point and design your own custom lists.

When everything lies mapped out, the mystery behind it all dissipates. Remember that.

I don't want mystery when crafting a build. Granted I enjoyed Tyrian capping most because you were never sure if the boss would be in the right spot or not. It added character to the skillcap. And I also had a printed-out list of all my caps and where I had capped them so I could check-off (still have it too).

Back to the build-crafting thing. If I have a killer skill combo that takes up 3 slots, I want to be able to figure out near-immediately what skills will complement those to create a solid build. I don't want to have to cross-reference this list and that list when I can just look at a nice poster that lays it out simply.
