Random Arenas: To be or not to be? That is the question I ask the Guild Wars Community. Why should it exist knowing fully well that the following combinations will surely FAIL when fighting against even just 1 balanced team:
No Monk
Monk x4
Monk with Newbs 1-3
Healer Monk (with mending esp.)
Fighting vs SoR Bonder team with a team having no enchant removal
...and the list goes on and on and on...
And to think that, each time you roll a team like this you either:
a.) Stand idle and risk being reported by an emo
b.) Leave RA until you get hexed with DH and suffer time wasted against your strive towards your gladiator title
c.) target a foe and press the space bar and beckon the other team to kill you twice, knowing that your teammates will FAIL to recognize a lost battle and waste time ressing you, even further prolonging the match and wasting grand time.
...should RA even exist?
Pros: No more leavers, reports to anet, wasted time, necessity for DH, imbalances, etc...
Cons: None really.
RA has become obsolete thanks to the last PvP update. Why even RA anymore? TA > RA by a LOOOOONG SHOOOOOT! So what if you win x10... because now you have to face syncers and guess what that brings?
All of the above is a mere reflection of my thoughts on this topic of discussion.
GW Community: Your response?
*Please refrain from flaming, trolling, etc...* Just express your thoughts in a non-direct fashion.
Should RA become deleted?

In the past week Ive been in three teams that have won the required 10, and then gone on to win atleast another 5 in TA, in that time Ive also managed to make a few more in game friends. I dont want to stand about for 10+ minutes between rounds so that I can join in with the latest flavour of the month 4 man build, so I go to RA and make PvP what it should be, light hearted fun.
Its worh noting that in the teams that I went furthest with we had no monks and none of us had traditional skill bars

RA is the only PvP I ever do these days... Can't often be bothered to organise a team, a bit of killing other players never did anyone any harm. Sure, its got its flaws, but the fact that you don't spend time organising counters this. In TA, unless you have a VERY organised guild, you generally spend 5-10 minutes organising things. In TA, if you get a bad team, you fail, If you get a really bad team, then everyone will realise it and resign. You rarely get more than 1 bum team, so its still quicker to get in.
And as for syncing, when at least 100 players are all trying to enter at the same time, I cannot see how it would ever work.

Just no.
I go to RA a lot. I go on any character I please, save my soon to be LS paragon, and I just work with what everyone gives me.
Counter to your post, I've won against the teams you describe:
"Team with SoR Bonder" My ranger kicks the crap out of that sort of team all the time. BHA + Inturupts + High Damage attacks = Dead monk. I actually usually play on my ranger on that sort of build.
"Team with no monks" I've gotten 10 wins at least three times with a team without a monk.
"Team with Monk that has mending" Not all monks with mending are evil. It's actually quite funny sometimes, because I go play my monk sometimes and put mending as one hos his bonds, and then end up kicking butt. =P
And also, rolling with a team you don't like doesn't give you the automatic right to either not play or leave because you have no faith. It's people like you that ruin RA.

I agree with you cant see me. the other day i went to RA for the first time in a while to pvp a little bit and my first THREE TEAMS all had a leaver pre-starting. it is people like that who are ruining RA becasue they 'dont have a monk' or have some other whiny excuse to waste 3 other peoples time. i tried reporting them but the rest of my team wouldnt so they all got away with being dicks. Anyways thats my only guff with RA..if all of the people that did that just stopped playing guild wars RA would be a lot of fun. I don't see any reason to get rid of it.
