Hey guys, I bought the game ages ago and leveled to 20 before any expansions ever came out. I just recently starting playing again but I have a newer character, a Ele/Ritualist.
My question is, if she is in Factions and started in Cantha, how the heck can I bring her to Ascalon?
You'll have to forgive my ignorance but it's been well over a year...

You should be able to get a quest to take you to Lion's Arch from Kaineng City.

Sunspears in Cantha is Factions to Nightfall. Ascalon is Prophecies.

Once you finish the Zen Daijun mission, you can progress to Kaineng Marketplace. Head North from there and you'll make it to the city and max armour. There are also two 15 attribute points quests on the island once you finish Zen Daijun. One you can do before it, one you can do after it.

Sumarry:

1. Complete Noob Island
2. Go North from the Marketplace with Henchman, you'll end up in Keinang City.
3. Take the quest "Chaos In Kryta"
4. Complete quest (requires no fighting or effort)
5. Here you have a choice. You can find a runner for a decent price to Ascalon, or you can fight your way there by going out of the northern gate of Lions Arch, and fighting your way with henchman In a North East Direction until you hit the shiverpeaks, and from there, go Due east across the northern part of those, and then head east by south east until you reach Ascalon. You can look at Wiki maps to make this much easier.

The fight isn't that bad IMO, but it'll take you a day to do it yourself if you're fighting. My suggestion is to find a runner in Lions Arch. You'll be there after doing the quest "Chaos in Kryta".
