No more than 1 siege devourer.
MercenaryKnight
So it was a bug after all, no more easy hard mode runs with 8 siege devourers now that they fixed the "bug". Guess I should of farmed them while I could, oh well guess I miss out.
wetsparks
I missed out also, figured it was intentional since the siege devourer stays with you when you zone. Wish I had gone out and vanquished those three zones the minute I found out about it.
Joe Fierce
yes, a "bug"....... more like anet got buttherd because we easied up their hm game.
Matt_Night
Disappoining.... only this weekend i was planning to vanquish the location with the burning forest with my guildies. Blah!
SotiCoto
Would someone mind telling me how the hell having multiple siege devourers can possibly be considered a bug?! >_<;
Anyone care to form a lynchmob and march on A-Net?

As if Vanguard points weren't already the hardest, by far, to amass...

QQ making hardmode hard, gosh golly what were they thinking. No more mindless slapping buttons 1 and 2, rinse repeat
Sheriff
Well if this "fix" applies to NM mode as well, it will make it even harder for regular users to get their Vanguard consumables/weapons/armor

I disagree, I got to level three without even noticing, playing through and when I did notice and wanted level 5, I got there fairly easy also, without siege farming.
I think it hurts those looking to max the title more than someone looking to get to level 3 for consumables or 5 for armor, like myself.

So instead of mindlessly pushing 12121212, you push c+space, c+space. Especially with Sab's three necro build you don't really have to worry about staying alive or doing a lot of damage because it is so efficient.
buzzerman
Well, this is too bad. Another simple PvE fun got ruined by the nerf bat..

And please do tell, did anyone force you to mindlessly slap buttons 1 and 2 etc.? No, I believe if you really wanted to be the great gaming hero that I suppose you aim to be, you could've done that by simply NOT getting your team into Siege Devourers. You see, it was a matter of choice. Now it isn't -- thanks for ruining another in-game freedom for us.
Also, teaming up in Siege Devourers used to be another good reason for.. yeah, people playing together in this supposedly cooperative game. Now people are just going to perfect ways of doing that with h/h, you know, with builds like Sab's, in their own solipsistic instances, thank you very much..
super strokey
I think tahts the biggest thing that they have done, eliminate yet another incentive to people playing together. To be honest i see no reall reason to do this at all. Makes no sense to me even in the slightest. Its not like its duping or someting... i just dont get it.

fix the desolation too, one wurm per instance
but seriously, even without the +20% weapons, advantageous ebon vanguard skills and armour bonus from your title, it is still only charr! Not hard (and respawning mintids are a minion master's dream come true).

yeah agree, I don't think it was a bug at all, just another instance of the population at large being smarter than the programmers
well, I'm glad I got Sacnoth while I could

Thats not what people are complaining about (well me atleast), im complaining that they shouldnt remove anytning from teh game that encourages poeple to work together instead of fly solo with HH

The problem at hand is grind, not this over-easyfying of grind called 8-man siege party.

As usual they were wrong as it was no different than having 8 Wurms. It is just another typical stick it to the masses for no reason Anet move.
I am convinced these developers unlike any others in the industry simply love to be aholes to their customer base. They always have and always will, (at least until they only sell 10 copies if GW2 and get fired.)

Same with minions, enchantments, and avatars.
A little less crying about people you don't know who do free updates for a game you play for free and a little more going out and earning your grind-points would be more constructive methinks. Obviously more than 10 people are going to get GW2 since more than 10 people are playing gw still now.

It wasn't a bug. It was unintended design. If there's an unintended loophole somewhere, it's only natural to fix it.

It was neither!
They would have to be unbelievably stupid to put the sieges in the game, allow for human team members to all get one and allow them to take them through three areas with them by mistake.
I was an absolutely intended feature, they just decided we were doing things to easily, having to much fun and could not allow that so they decided to be their evil selves and put a stop to it.
It is also why they buffed the snowmen in HM, think about it, from the Prophecies very first update on they have distinct glaring pattern of always making things harder never ever easier, always taking $1.00 worth good and giving back a nickel in return. It is like they think part of running a MMORPG is to terrorise the players every chance they get crushing every thing from skills/builds to the way we play certain areas that might allow us to play the a little easier or have more fun.

That's only because there's always rock on at least one side of every portal...

Rocket and strafe jumping were unintended designs in Quake. id didn't see any need to fix those fun discoveries and even made a secret in Quake2 only accessible with a rocket jump. What's needing a fix is solely the decision of the company, nothing "natural"!
kazjun
I don't care I guess. You only need to vanq once, if you're going for faction use the hero books. A lot easier and less boring the vanqing the same areas over and over. Though it was kinda fun every now and then.
Lady Ana Stacia
Considering the first time thru I thought it was odd that you could KEEP the devourer while going thru the portal. I am sure this is just Anet fixing an unintended loophole.
Doesn't bother me a bit.
