I would say that skill bar seems too energy intensive.

I think with this build you need a real bonder to bond YOU if you bond someone - as soon as whoever you have bonded starts taking damage you are going to have no energy and die.

You will, however, still die against big enemies on soft targets. Shield of Absorption can help there.
