hehe, remember our big discussion about Factions not having Halloween?
I was farming in hard mode when I came up with two Trick-or-treat bags!
how about that?

Was the same last Halloween, so not really new.
If you find a new mystery item (I think the pumpkin consumable might already be it), feel free to post again!

No - it was not the same last year
There were no special drops from monsters during Halloween (potions and alcohol came from the horsemen collectors only) - so the only way Canthans could get special items was if someone from nightfall or prophecies got them from a trader and brought them in. A lot of people were making a killing selling transmorgrifier potions to Canthans at more than 1k each. I and several others brought things to Shing Jea to give away so that Canthans could take part. We stood on the hill and invited people to come to us for "trick-or-treating"
So dropping Halloween items in Cantha is new and a development I am very happy to see.

Yeah that was always my favorite part of the chapter exclusive holidays.
Because they ALWAYS give us the LORE-reason why certain parts don't have the whole celebration thingy.
So - how can we explain - lore-wise - why that Carp in the Jade sea drops Christmas items?
Ahh - I see - It must be a gift from his cousins on the other side of the shore!
I completely forgot about the "How The Carp Stole Christmas!"-story!

Are you talking about the Pumpkin cookie? If so its 10% Morale boost when consumed if not, im interested on what else it could be.

Canthans are the equivalent of asians, who don't have Halloween or Christmas.
Wintersday can be considered the equivalent of any seasonal holiday, like Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza, so it can pretty much be existent in both Elona (Kwanza) and Tyria (Christmas). Canthans again lack it.
Same occurs with Halloween. I'm not sure how things are in Africa, but I'm sure they have some tribal holiday with a similar theme.
Besides, Canthans get the Dragon Festival and whatnot.

Can't you also go to the costume brawl from pvp?
RPGmaniac
Yeah, PvP characters can go to the costume brawl. The NPC is in the Great Temple of Balthazar.

You could even watch anime and you'll see that there's Christmas in Asia.
It's true that there's no Halloween in Asia, but get the facts straight before you say there's no Christmas in Asia.

yea look, its probably another way of making all the different Chapters unique.
granted, ANET did a crappy job making excuses in discriminating between the chapters but hey - at least they did it
EDIT 8:16 AEST:
yep, me and my brother ended up getting transmofigier potions and squash serums from trick-or-treat bags during missions - looks like we Canthans did get a lot out of Halloween!

You aren't getting the honor of the Mad King's presence, though...
